We run them completely out of the stadium. The punt return we had 3 guys in position to make the tackle and they all stopped when they saw the facemask. The long pass to Devonta Smith when Stingley was looking to the sideline was on the coaches. The long TD with 1:40 left shouldn’t have happened if Aranda runs a prevent and makes them stay underneath and have to drive the length of the field to score. Take those 3 plays away and we win this game no less than 46-20.

Bama is a good football team. But that score does not reflect the arse kicking we gave them.

Only one I really have a problem with is the last TD. The others were just good players making plays.

Well they did make the plays and that's that, if was a skiff we would all take a ride. Thats why you gotta play and coach 60 minutes

If my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle and I’d be from Alabama!

We won enjoy the ride!!!

That's not really the point, though. Everyone is always trying to make concessions, where they don't need to, imo. Yes, bama made those plays, but the point is that those were just fluky things that happened in an instant, whereas LSU CONSISTENTLY pushed Alabama's poop in throughout the majority of the game.

Even guys like Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart, who I heard on FOX, were saying that the score didn't really tell the story of how LSU mostly dominated.

It is what it is, and we all get that the points count. It's just an observation that the OP is making, and that a lot of us have made that LSU really thoroughly outplayed them outside of a few plays.

If you were using this logic wouldn't you have to remove Tuas fumble and the dropped snap?

Jeudy dropped at least two touchdowns.

There was also one play that LSU has a big play on that Jamar Chase was obviously not set.

There are fluke plays for both teams throughout every game. LSU won I don’t care about the rest.

Watch that play again. That was a trick play that Bama executes perfectly. Tua and half the offense was looking at the sidelines when he asked for the snap.

Bama saw on film that when the offense look to the sidelines LSU’s defense always adjusts and the corners look at the sidelines.

That was a dumb move on that punt. He was in position to light his arse up and possibly knock the ball loose but decided to run by him and facemask him instead.

I’m not sure it’s ok to take 21 pts away from Bama and not take any away from us...but I agree that the score was closer than it should have been. We completely dominated..I was never worried.

Yeah the two long touchdowns sucked and you could say they were flukey, but Devonta Smith had Stingley's number all night. I'm not sure I want to go and say that Bama just got lucky on a couple of fluke plays. They were uncharacteristic plays for our defense, but not flukes. We just got beat on those plays. Thankfully, our offense succeeded on plays that were uncharacteristic (not flukes) for Bama's defense, too. I don't know if I can recall seeing a running back drag and bulldoze so many Bama defenders in one game (crap, even in one PLAY) as what Clyde did repeatedly last night.

There were at least three moments in the game that LSU was close to blowing it wide open. On two drives in the second half he air mailed two wide open receivers for big plays. He rarely misses a receiver like that. It was almost like he could not believe they were open and he got too much adrenaline on the throw.

The punt return should have been a tackle.. that gave them enough life..

Then the first bomb TD on Stingley was him talking to the coaches and getting a horrible start..

Those 2 alone should not have happened.

Totally agree. A punt return when gunner arrived at same time as ball in perfect position to make the tackle and 2 long passes. Bama did not have but one are two multi play drives the entire game. Those plays kept them in the game....and maybe left door open for them to sneak back into playoff consideration.

Regardless I’ll take the W!
