Not to be overly pessimistic, but we may already be the laughing stock of CFB. Winning out is a great perspective, but it isn't reality. The changes needed are beyond the capabilities of this current coaching staff, hence the coaching staff needs to change starting with Miles. Some may be afraid we will end up struggling like UT did once they canned Fulmer. Ole Miles has taken us back to the 90s again with his stubbornness and ego. Will be a long season, but I'm hoping we can at least iron the things out we need to compete in our conference. As we stand right now, none of these upcoming games will be easy.

Nope. To little to late. Outside of 1 quarter of football, we've seen 7 fugly quarters of dismal football against lesser opponents. He. Is. Done.

He wins the West or he's gone. Which is, I believe, the ultimatum Joe Alleva gave him.

Quite possibly the dumbest statement I have ever read. EVER. Based purely upon his statement, it is my conclusion Paper Tiger has never met driven, financially successful individuals in his entire impoverished life. If he did, he would realize the converse of his statement is the truth.

That being said, I do not think Les Miles has the necessary skill sets to lead this program going forward. I wish him and his family the best and with that, I would expect LSU to hire a candidate with the proper credentials and abilities to lead this team after this season is over.

Disagree, poobah

Not about money, but you are right about driven. At this stage, it is all about ego.

Wrong Rouge. I was pretty bloody specific concerning Paper Tiger's flawed assumption. The point is people with money care very much about money. It way not bet he only thing they care about but they do care about the greenies.

Power and status trumps money at a certain point

However, money and status often share the same bedmate

Our fans are in quite a conundrum. We want our team to succeed but couldn't give two fricks about whether Miles succeeds bc the majority of us want him gone pecan.

I don't think there is anything short of winning the west which could convince the higher ups to keep him.

If the shmuck were smart, he wouldve surrounded himself with competent assistants rather than his friends and would've set himself up for a JoePa exodus whenever he wanted. But he's to stubborn and want so meddle. Let him meddle in a lesser conference some where.

I know. We are in quite the predicament.

I want LSU to win, but my goodness I want Miles gone. Desperately. I just miss seeing an efficient offense, both passing and running. I miss seeing LSU dominate in the 2nd half of games (because great teams take over the 2nd half) and he just plays so conservative.. He does everything the hardest way. And I can no longer care to hear anything he says.. He takes the enjoyment and excitement out of following LSU football outside of the live games.

And let's put this in perspective--some folks on here are mighty forgetful.

This is our deepest, most experienced team in years.

Are we going to give Miles another pass for 10-3 and a shite bowl?

Watching the opening sequence for NBC's Pats-Cards game, I noticed the pantheon they showed in the opening sequence-six or seven of the NFL's biggest stars. Half of that number was--Patrick Peterson. Tyrann Mathieu. Odell Beckham. Three LSU Tigers.

We have more players in the NFL than anyone, including Alabama.

The gumps have four national championships in the last six years or so. We have mostly shite bowls.

I am entitled to my opinion just like you guys are, and I think Les Miles is a fair to middling coach who was in the right place at the right time.

If he has physical problems, I am sincerely sorry. But business is business. Yes, I think Les Miles is now holding this program back and it's past time for him to go.

I didn't really see anything to make me believe alot is going to change in the next coming weeks.... Not enough to win 9 or 10 games this year... This team will have their hands full against every SEC opponent but that's just MHO....
