If memory serves, we beat Bama the first year Saban went there....

and then it was pretty much downhill from there when we played them. I see similarities here for the motivation last night to beat Kiffin's team after he left them for another SEC rival. I see us pulling away from them as the years go by. They've got the best QB in the country right now as well who won't be there next year.

Les was 3-3 against Saban until the 2011 rematch and then never beat him again. Going into that game they each had one national title since Saban returned.
For four seasons Les and Saban were essentially equal at LSU and Bama until Saban roared past him starting with the national title rematch.
I expect something similar (not that Kiffin will be Saban) as far as our trajectory to ole miss over the next few seasons. Even with the transfer portal what Lane built there will last a few years and it will take a few years to get things going here.

Could be a very similar situation. Not sure Lane stays here 15 years, but I think OM better relish this one.

OM needs to work on the plan to get Chambliss another year of eligibility. They know that the local judiciary will approve the plan.

Football is different now. If Ole Miss has a year like LSU did in 2008, that whole team will quit and transfer.
