Lowly Georgia just got swept by the 3rd to last place SEC this past weekend.
Lowly Georgia is terrible on the road and pretty good at home. They are 7-5 at home against all teams at the top of the conference standings with a sweep of Arkansas and series wins over Kentucky and Tennessee (the weekend before losing 3 at Missouri).

We will definitely host a regional. The problem after Skenes in game 3-4 we might not win said regional.
refer to Houston 2014 we pitched Nola started 2-0 houston had a better Bull pen and beat us twice in row.

They can go 1-2 and likely get a top 8 seed.
If you go 1-2, you will not be a top 8 seed. You wall fall somewhere between 10-12. If LSU losses this weekend, LSU would be 3-6 over its last 9 SEC games, 3-2 over its last 5 midweek games, and have lost 3 straight series to end the season. You would have to win a couple games in Hoover to be a top 8 seed if you lose this weekend.

And IF Vandy takes 2/3 vs Arkansas, LSU sweeps Georgia, and Kentucky wins 1 vs Florida. LSU will win the SEC.
Lots of "IF"s left to play out.
LSU Sweeps: 20-9 (yeah, yeah, I know, never gonna happen)
#1 seed if UK takes 1+ vs Florida; Vandy wins series vs Arkansas.
#2 seed; SEC West Champs if Florida sweeps; Vandy wins series vs Arkansas.
#3 seed; Arkansas wins series vs Vandy
LSU wins 2-1; 19-10
#1 seed; Can't happen. Arkansas or Vanderbilt will finish with 20 wins.
#2 seed; SEC West Champs if Vandy sweeps Arkansas
Too much noise for #3 and #4. But a 1st round bye is guaranteed with a 2-1 record this weekend.
LSU loses 2-1; 18-11
#1 seed, N/A
#2 seed, N/A
#3 seed, Arkansas wins series vs Vandy or Florida swept by UK
#4 seed, Vandy wins series vs Arkansas and Florida wins
#5 seed, N/A.
LSU loses 0-3; 17-12
#1 seed, N/A
#2 seed, N/A
#3 seed, Vandy swept by Arkansas, USCe does not sweep Tenn, Kentucky does not sweep Florida
#4 seed, Vandy wins 1, USCe does not sweep, Kentucky does not sweep. Or Vandy gets swept and 1 of the other 2 happen.
#5 Vandy wins 1, and either USCe or Kentucky sweep
#6 Vandy wins 1, USCe and Kentucky sweep
#7 N/A
I'm sure I missed some. But there are the situations that seem most likely. The magic number is 1 win this weekend for the bye.

No particular order. That’s if all these teams win their series this weekend. If all them win and LSU drop this weekend series, I could see LSU somewhere around #10 going into Hoover. How if they have a good showing at Hoover, I believe they move back into the top 8 discussion.

- Connecticut is #25 in RPI. They aren’t getting a Top 8 seed.
- Oregon St is #27 in RPI and finished with an 18-12 conference record in a weaker conference. They aren’t passing LSU.
- Miami is #18 in RPI and is only 10-12 against Quad I. They also need a sweep of a good Duke team to finish with a better conference record if LSU is 18-11. There’s very little chance they get a higher seed than LSU.
- Vandy would need to win the series against Arkansas, but if they do then it would probably come down to who performed better in Hoover. They have lost 3 of their last 4 series so they are limping home too.
- Coastal Carolina is #10 in RPI and won’t move into the Top 8. Their overall record is worse than LSU, including 10 non-Q1 losses. The committee wasn’t very kind to mid-majors last year in seeding. I doubt they’ll pass LSU in this scenario, but it’s possible.
Based on that list, LSU is at worst #8 and possibly #5 or #6 depending on Clemson’s series result.

I appreciate the effort here and you're 100% correct. But don't hold your breath on that tool bag coming back in here and accepting the facts as you have laid out.
He's a shitty troll and talks out of his arse.

Alex Box is a massive revenue generator for the NCAA. Pedigree helps too. If LSU is anywhere within spitting distance of a Top 8 seed, they will get the nod ahead of another program.

Wrong we could get swept and lose the opening tourny game and still host.
We need the series for a top 8 seed

People keep saying this without providing any evidence to support that position. Based on overall body of work, there are not 8 teams that can match LSU even if they lose the series. I am open to the argument that a weak finish to the season could be overweighted by the committee, but l’d want to see examples of that happening to other teams in the past. I just don’t see 8 teams with a legitimate argument ahead of LSU even with the late season slide.
