LSU used to be a premier baseball program. When our coach was named Skip. That was a long time ago now. We also used to have a pretty good football and basketball team too.

3 premier players - that's it. Rest are a bunch of scrubs!

Used to have good posters on tiger droppings too until people like you showed up.

But overall, I agree with your post.

The same question could be asked with LSU football and the hiring of someone like O. This academic calendar year for sports has been a total joke so far.

Look man Andy left us so late there's no possible way we could have convinced anyone in the country to take a job the previous coach parlayed into an SEC HC job within 2 years. Just not possible

It's like Alleva wants to pay big money for coaches, then he doesn't.

fricking retarded. We've had a national seed the last 5 years.... as in we've been a top 8 team each year for the last half decade. What other program can claim that?

Yeah we suck so far this year but we are a premier baseball program and we're still perceived that way. That's why we were still ranked #4 last week even though we suck.

ETA: where have our recent recruiting classes ranked anyway?

Little Sweet says he has been handling all the hitting for several years now. So no we have a HOF'er

Alleva has to go! When will everybody realize he is running LSU into the ground. You can only fire so many coaches. At some point it becomes clear that the coaches were never the problem!!!

1 championship in 16 years. "Premier" is the past.

right after you stop believing that previous coaching experience is a prerequisite to being a good coach

sure, but with the success of Andy and guys like Blake Dean you could see why PM would attempt to go back to the well, right? Considering its hard to put on a coaching search 90 days before a season starts

It's not, but it's hard to hire a guy based on what he could do vs what you know he already has done. Experience matters in any field, why doesn't it matter for our hitting coach?
