No doubt i liked that last at bat by Freeman. Didn't try and do too much just hit it right back up the middle. Hopefully he can build on that. Smith has been doing well lately. Slaughter is bad right now. He cannot hit any pitch that isn't a fastball. At this level they can throw strikes with other pitches. He needs to learn that. Pap is Pap he will never be a hitter but he will catch for Lange so no need to even be upset about that. I wouldn't mind Beau going back to left and give Romero Woley Reid a shot at the DH.

several and they all spend less than lsu on baseball. moreover, there are probably coaches at smaller programs who might not make omaha routinely but are very competitive in the postseason. if you weigh the investment vs the results, mainieri's results are deficient in comparison to other coaches/programs.
