LSU is supposed to be one of the elite programs in college baseball, so certainly we should be upset if we go several years without hosting, along with missing out on the regionals altogether the way we did last year. I'm grateful for the National Championship, but a few lackluster seasons shouldn't follow for a program that claims to be one of the best.
Unlike some others, I have great hope for this season. We need a really good season, because a few more years like the last two, combined with the success of teams like South Carolina and Florida, and LSU would be just another program. I never want to see our program viewed as average.
