That was a Les Miles style of win by a Les Miles team coached by a Les Miles coaching staff. Literally nothing has changed since Les left.

You’re right, I’m so glad we now have a coach no one will make fun of.

He keeps winning the jokes will stop, Miles got it no matter what

Miles brought a lot of the clowning on himself. O is being made fun of something he can’t control l, the way he talks. Seems fair in this anti bullying society

Les was the coach that smoked them in the Peach Bowl, and ya’ll forget that Les and we win a ring, and won a lot of games - not just because we had good talent.

Just think, it could be O that takes Les Miles place as most successful HC at LSU. A big win at Auburn will change lots of things for O and staff.

I can't stand when people compare but I also can't stand when people crap on our current HC as if they know who he is and how he's going to perform.

Les wins this game easily too

That's assuming that he makes all the necessary roster moves

Sure, I guess anything is possible. I could become LSU’s most successful head coach too.

Nope their QB would still have sucked and we'd still have Aranda and that D. In fact our second half offense looked very Lessish.

Man you guys are miserable fans, yeah it wasn’t perfect, but this team was picked to go like 6-6. We beat a top ten team by what 16 points, and it should have been worse.

You're right. The guys NOT shitting on the coach that won 114 games for this program, including several over teams just like Miami, are the miserable fans.

Nailed it.

This team is not going to make the playoffs, but it’s a breath of fresh air. To many years I bought into Miles and the “want” to throw the football, and all of that BS, to be disappointed with some of the worst passing offenses in the NCAA

LSU threw for 140 yards and no TDs. Again, nailed it.

If I went into a coma before 2016 and woke up to watch this game, I'd swear on everything I own that I was watching a Les Miles LSU team.

People acting like defense and a running game dominating an OOC opponent is some unheard of phenomenon is laughable.

Yeah, but ... but ... they weren't in the I-formation, so this was better somehow. The stats don't seem to matter now, in this argument.

yep 8 in the box, run left, run right, toss dive then punt ! get a field goal and try to hold on to the 3 point lead and start killing the clock. we may have scored 10 on this Miami defense with CLM

Unfortunately probably right.. does not matter now. Someone posted that Burrow is Etling plus a little bit. Etling would have taken several, more sacks. Etling could not make or was not trusted to make the throws on those dig routes.

I wonder what’s prompting it.

The only way to make O seem more than a slightly above average coach at this point is to tear Les down viciously and completely.

Without that, O doesn't "seem" like an upgrade at all.

That's the very premise of the thread: Make it look like Miles couldn't compete/wouldn't have won to pump up O's result, which while promising, again didn't prove significant improvement yet.

Classic tactic of an insecure person. Put down someone else in an attempt to make yourself look better.

It's been said 10 million times, but the new coach is SUPPOSED to have better results than the coach that was fired. There should be no need to make this comparison by someone who has faith in the current coach.
