Miles lost a game because of it on a spiked ball with 1 second left. Saban lost 4 points because if his "blunder"

This game isn't over yet though. Bama can easily lose this games by 4 points or less

Could be the mistake of the game. In a way, I hope it certainly is.

Got to give Saban credit he did own up to it immediately...

If he scored and took the tos to the locker room - yes - still stupid.

Regarding spike - to be honest, alot of that stuff is coached and the qbs know to do it. Miles messed up yes - but something tells me most qbs would have simply executed. and he was likely coached to do so. I realize this is an unknown - I am just one of the few who sees it that way. Plus its bang bang. Remember what Mack did when they put time on clock to kick last sec firld goal. That was terrible and also at very end of game. PANIC TIME.

Sabans deal has no excuse and on the biggest stage. Just my opinion but I find it honestly the worst Ive ever seen - I was thinking what is going on here? Go down to 14 sec from the 40. Not enough time to run the plays required to use 3 TOs. Bizarre. They will likely win anyway - but wow.

Absolutely. There is a blatant difference in how it would be viewed. He grossly mismanaged that.

That is just stupid.

You are playing for a spot in THE GAME and you make a boneheaded mistake. It might cost them.

Much like the 1st and goal on the Aggies' 6 with 4 minutes with the best offensive line in the country and all you call is run, pass, pass, and pass?

Owned up only shows how damn bad it was. You have nothing to even try to explain.

If it costs them a shot at National title - its a big story. If it was Miles there would be a skit with third graders teaching you how to read a clock on ESPN. Think They would pull that with Nicky? shite.

Huge mistake #2.

Should have called time out to give refs time to review the HORRIBLE tipped pass call.

I wouldn't say horrible call. On one if the angles it looked like the defenders fingers bent backwards from the ball

You just set yourself up. Saban got to play in the big one last year by not being in this game.
