Skip, if he would come back.

Skip is in no place to be an AD. He’s passed it.

Lester Earl, as long as his contract says he can’t post here.

Scott Woodward’s base salary is 900,000. I know A&M would pay more if they had to. How much pure money would it take? 2 million?

You're not getting Woody as the AD here. That ship has sailed.

But what IS doable, and would actually be a good move, is to hire him in Alexander's job.

Woody was with Emmert here and at Washington on the academic side before he took the AD job there. He also has a PhD, so the academics wouldn't throw a fit if he got the president's job.

And you'd be getting an Emmert disciple and a Baton Rouge native in charge of the school.

Whoever it is will have to have a sackful to be able to deal with the forces he will have against him. A total goofball for a president and an apparent nut job for a BOS chairman...not mention the BOS itself.
It can be a great job but a lot of politics to deal with.

Sounds good to me. I just want a functioning athletic Dept working together not against each other.

Best move would be to try and get Woodward as the next president. Then go all out for Danny White from UCF. His salary right now is 600,000. If I’m LSU and I do get Woodward, I offer Danny White in the 800,000 range and go up from there. I know it’s a pipe dream, but that would be a dream combination.
