LSU would go to the SEC championship…

LSU East opponents SEC record 6-2
Bama East opponents SEC record 4-4
**OM East opponents SEC record 4-4

Moral of the story, Geaux Zou and UF (except vs us) if OM pulls off the miracle at UGA.

** edit, put UGA on there on accident

Win out and we are in. Either Ole Miss loses one more or we win the tiebreaker(Bama isn’t losing to Kentucky or Auburn)

It would be 7-9 if ole mid wins out. Uga would be 7-1 and Vandy is 0-8

Last week I went through the schedules and predicted the following for SECe opponents:

Ole Miss
At worst 6-10
At best 8-8
Key games: Auburn @ Vandy, Mizzou @ UGA, UGA @ Tennessee

Alabama
At worst 8-8
At best 10-6
Key games: Tennessee @ Mizzou, UGA @ Tennessee

LSU
At worst 9-7
At best 10-6
Key games: Tennessee @ Mizzou, Mizzou @ UGA

The most important SECe game for LSU fans is probably Tennessee @ Mizzou.

Mizzou should beat TN at home. TN offense is shite.

I think you’re right. If Mizzou beats Tennessee and loses to UGA, that would put our SECe opponents at 10-6 (barring a Florida miracle in the cocktail party) and should be enough for LSU to win the 3-way tiebreaker outright.

At that point the best Bama’s opponents could do would be 9-7, and that’s with Tennessee beating UGA. We should be fine as long as Florida and Mizzou don’t have epic collapses (both would have to lose to Arkansas for us to lose tiebreaker).

Of course the harder part is that we still have to beat Florida, Bama, and A&M.

His point seems sound. If we beat Bama, and Ole Miss wins out, it would be a three way tie. I don’t know if he is correct about the tie-breaker, though.

These discussions are meaningless.

We have to beat Bama. Then we can discuss

Not sure what you mean….I took the OP to be saying….

If Ole Miss and LSU both win out in the regular season, and Bama wins its other games besides LSU there would be a 3-way tie at 7-1 with 1-1 head to head to head.

At the tie breaker would come down to record of cross division opponents.

I’d guess UGA & Vandy would likely be 7-9 combined.

Kentucky & Tennessee already 4-4….and have to play each other still, so essentially 5-5. Tennessee likely loses to UGA and beats Vandy, so 6-6. Kentucky likely loses to Bama and beats MSU and USC (though both on the road). That puts the Uk/Ut group at 8-7 with the UT-Mizzou game pending.

Mizzou & Florida are already 6-2. They have to play, so that’s 7-3. Mizzou likely loses to UGA and beats Arkansas for 8-4. Florida likely loses to UGA and LSU and beats Arkansas, which makes them 9-6.

If that’s the case, and I might be wrong, even if UT beats Mizzou, Ole Miss get eliminated for UGA/Vandy being 7-9 making the 3-way tie a 2-way tie and LSU beats Bama head to head.

Correct. It would take some pretty serious upsets for LSU to lose the tiebreaker outright.

Example:

Tennessee beats Mizzou, and either Mizzou or Florida lose to Arkansas.

Mizzou beats Tennessee, Tennessee beats UGA, and either Mizzou or Florida lose to Arkansas.

Mizzou beats Tennessee, Tennessee loses to UGA, Mizzou and Florida lose to Arkansas.

I’m pretty sure all scenarios where Bama wins the tiebreaker require Arkansas to beat Mizzou and/or Florida. It’s not impossible, but it’s certainly improbable.

I think Georgia will win. But it's not a lock. This is not the same dominant Georgia team from previous years. They struggled against Auburn.
