I'm pretty sure the NCAA outlaws any artificial noisemaker, and somehow the cowbells get a pass.

It's pretty simple in my mind, put up 40 early and they take thier stupid bells to the house.

How I got my cowbell. We were losing to Tulane in '03, I think, and a fan slammed his down and stormed out. Never came back.

If LSU can prove to the SEC that vuvuzelas have a long standing tradition of being used by fans in Tiger Stadium, then have at it.

TD poster wants government intervention to take away people's cow bells.

Ironic.

They are in freaking Starkville, Mississippi. What the hell else is there to do and with what else are they going to play with? It's better than them slinging cow patties everything score.

In 100 plus years of Mississippi State football a cowbell has never threw a pass. Caught a pass or made a tackle or won a game. LSU takes care of things on the field and no one ever hears the cowbells. Chill out dude, goofy traditions like this is what makes college football great. Some of ya"ll need to quit trying to turn it into some generic NFL bullshite.

Mississippi State football has fielded a few good teams during the past 43 years (1980). But let’s face it, MSU isn’t winning a National Championship anytime soon. If it helps them a little bit to ring cowbells, then let them be. It’s one of their traditions and every SEC team gets to have something that’s unique to their program. If LSU cannot run their offense because of some noise, then Coach Kelly did a poor job of practicing the silent counts.
