You'd be correct.

Signed, Saban, Miles, Orgeron...

And after the bowl game LSU will have lost to all 3 this year!

You should bet the house on Baylor.

The train wreck went to the SECCG in year one. What a masterful job by BK!

I would've wondered why Saban left Alabama to come back to LSU.

BK shot his mouth off about not paying for players. If so, the amount of NIL he has shouldn't matter much. Now, after Underwood and 8-4, what's he saying? He's willing to to spend big in the portal. He seems lost and reactionary. That's an expensive experiment.

It is all about the MONEY and University brand. The amount of revenue growth under Kelly has far outpaced the increase in pay he received over Orgeron. LSU is making more money under Kelly

This is ridiculous. I have no problem saying Kelly is running a better program than Orgeron did his last two years, but the brand and revenue growth along with increased student enrollment happened as a direct measurable result from O winning the CFP in 2019. Kelly is riding the coattails from that as it applies to marketing.

And as for brand, Orgeron being the flawed characiture of himself that he became has done more for name recognition than Kelly being hated by the national media for the last twenty plus years.

I agree with you that Tate and Woodward have done more than anyone else in their role to drive revenue at LSU by a longshot.

If I told you LSU would win the National Championship in 2019 fielding what may have been the greatest team in the history of College Football along with the heisman Trophy winner and then go 11-11 the 2 years after that and leave 39 scholarship players for the next coach what would you have said?

All of the starters from the 2021 team are long gone now. Kelly is out of excuses at this point.

Oh is that how this works? When a coach inherits a depleted roster he needs to get rid of all the inherited players? Makes sense if you don’t think about it.

So how much does LSU have? How do we stack up compared to the big teams?

Would you also inform me of the following?

2019 LSU would be the All Time GOAT
2019 Heisman winner

The next 2 years have .500 seasons and an embarrassingly depleted roster, and coach fired

Oh, transfer portal is running wild, no one willing to stay at one school

NIL era where HS recruits are getting multi-million dollar deals.

Everything I've read we're top 10 and even top 5 on some lists. It's a difficult topic because articles calculate in many diff ways. There's no official list so the methods are widely variable. However, pretty much every list I've seen, LSU is up there pretty high. We are far from broke in this capacity.

I would say that it sounds like a down year. 99.9% of coaches have them from time to time. Hopefully he can turn it around the next year, and considering that he's the winningest active coach, odds are that he will.

This is the most important factor in evaluating BK and the program IMO. If it’s true that LSU is top 10 in NIL, then yeah BK needs to regularly field a playoff team.

Agreed. We should be playing heavy with Seniors and Juniors who have been in the program but instead are starting Freshman, Sophomores, and Portal transfers. That’s not a long term formula for success, but one we have to do because the program imploded in 2021 and was left with less than 50% of its roster by the bowl game. Complete reset needed.

No way man. I need my $20 per for beer and paper plates for my tailgate parties. But I’ll be right here bitching about NIL and portal recruiting

BK had over 2X the HC experience of the three aforementioned coaches combined when we hired them.

No excuses. Just win the games Brian.
