If healthy, Myles Brennan would 100 percent be the starter next year.

May be too late, but he needs to stay at LSU.

We will go to the portal, he's in the portal, win-win.

Love the way this board thinks

Bash the kid that goes into the portal last night, but beg for the one who already said he doesn’t want to play for LSU to come back

You gotta point

Didn’t understand what OR WHO made Myles think he couldn’t win the job back in 2022

Head scratcher to me.

one is significantly better than the other though.

that being said, I have no qualms with Max leaving. he wasn't the future

Myles is better and put in a lot of time as a backup. And his departure was a totally different scenario than Max bailing before a bowl game as a starter.

Me either but pre bowl game so we have to burn his teammates redshirt is a questionable move.

Nah

If he were from Michigan & his last name was Smith no one would still be hung up on this dude

Supposedly Brennan is already enrolled in classes at USM, looks like his decision is final.

supposedly is a big word. Not sure if this report was ever actually confirmed by anyone worth a lick.

brennan would/should have much better options than USM, so why would he choose USM?

That, and if he didn’t have an absolute cannon for an arm.

Well we know Myles ain't a quitter like much of the transfer portal entrants appear to be. He has shown more than enough "chest" at this point. He's a guy I think I would just say...good luck and I really hope you light it up at USM! If he is looking for a "sure thing" on PT for his last year of CFB, then USM makes much sense it would seem. I don't share the "automatic" opinions about him starting at LSU next year. Nuss is a REAL wildcard. If Kelly can tap his potential, he would start over Brennan, IMO. I also think Howard is as skilled a freshman QB as we've had since Tommy Hodson. That's saying something!

A cannon that can’t complete a short pass

He would need to wear a helmet and be bubble wrapped. Not just on the field, but every time he leaves the house.

Someone who can’t stay on the field coming in for a single season rightly isn’t appealing to a lot of P5 schools

The key word in your statement is play. New coach, new OC, new plays to learn and then having to compete agains't Max, Nuss and Howard. And all this afraid to compete crap? Obviously the kid wants to play pro ball as they all do. He has one year left to prove himself. So is he supposed to put his whole future life on the line based on the opinion of a couple of coaches he doesn't even know who are or does he go out and get a guarantee of playing time from some team desperate for a QB?
