if what you are saying is correct, than even without Fulton next year the defense should be top 5 in the country. one CB can't possibly make that big of a difference when we have other CB's on the roster that are by no means slouches

One corner can absolutely make that much of a difference. Also we’re paper thin at CB.

If Kris is ineligible and Greedy goes down this defense goes from top 5 to likely around 25-30.

Arandas scheme puts corners on islands. Remember how we lost to Notre Dame? Or the 95 yd TD against Florida in 16?

Idk about the best defense in the country but I would be more confident in our corners that's for sure. I already expected us to be top 10 this would solidify that

It's easy to look at our talent on defense and think we have the best talent in the country until you look at other teams depth charts and realize how far we are behind Clemson, Ohio St., Georgia, and especially Bama.

We are pretty solid on the D side of the ball ( and o side as well) but Bama has great talent on both sides of the ball. We have three players who would probably start for them on defense, White, Lawrence (would be in the rotation Raekwon Davis and Buggs but probably start), and Greedy.

Clemson has 4 potential first round picks on their D line.

We are kind of like fans of teams like Florida St, or Florida, Washington, Auburn, or USC etc. who look at their depth charts before the season starts and delusionally imagine how great the talent is.

We do have the best D coordinator though.

You should be extremely proud of this.

Football, for everyone, only last so long. The lesson he learns from this will last the rest of his life and serve him very well.

I see what your saying but do you agree that an argument could be made?

Fuch it. Maybe I’m biased but I believe in Dave Aranda. I think Devin White will be the best LSU LB ever. I think Greedy is the best DB in the country. Hell Im willing to say that O is the best Dline coach in the country. I also think Fulton is going to be special.

We have 2 consensus All Americans. Does any other team have that?

I wouldn’t be shocked at all that we have the top unit when the dust settles.

Im not really hating on you. I hope you’re right. Im simply saying its optimisitic thinking that a guy with close to zero experience in college makes our CB tandem from shaky (obviously not due to Greedy) to top in the nation.

I agree with you that it is optimistic but I have no problem betting on Kris, Aranda and Corey.

Explain to me right now how you suggrst that we could have the best CB duo with a CB that has 2 tackles in his career and has been in the doghouse for so long

Because we had one of the best corners in the country last year (greedy), and supposedly two of the better defensive coaches in the nation thought Fulton was even better.

So a projected top 10 overall pick and another guy with similar potential just may make for the best duo in the country. Or at the very least turn a serious question mark into a strength

ETA:
How many tackles did greedy have in that same 2016 season before his breakout 2017? Zero

What doghouse has Fulton been in? The NCAAs not coaches, because he’s been practicing and a part of team activities all this time.

Greedy hadn’t played a snap before last year either and was our best corner game 1.

If you can play you can play, experience is an excuse.

Fulton was in the same class as greedy and was the #1 corner in the class. He played as a true freshman while greedy redshirted.

Like his bitch arse former teammate that left for juco so he could go play at Alabama. I have a lot of respect for Kristian for staying and fighting this thing.

No. It’s really not. It’s more likely that he get reinstated. It is extremely rare for the NCAA to reopen a case. They only reopen when they see something was done incorrectly or at least it’s in serious question.

They just reopened his case.

And when is the NCAA allegedly going to rule on this? The organization is notoriously slow. Fall camp begins in two weeks and the season four weeks after that. Maybe, if we're lucky, we can get him back for the bowl game a la Ricky Jean-Francois.

Idk about that but I do know Fulton was goin to start the Ole Miss game his freshman year but broke his finger in practice. That paved the way for Donte Jackson to start
