Yeah I know about Ohio States talent, Clemson’s Dline and Bama is still Bama but hear me out:

Let’s say the NCAA reduces his sentence to one year and he’s ready to go.

Defense:

Now we’re set at CB with maybe the best Duo in the country. Easily the best DB in the county in Greedy.

Safety’s are stacked and have pros riding pine. Delpit will start and either Batte, Jacoby, Monroe or Paris will emerge.

LBers are led by our GOAT and the best defensive player in the country, and have a plethora of young talent in Taylor, Phillips, Baskerville, Queen and Clark.

DLine is deep as fuch and talented. Rashard, Fehoko and Ed Alexander should be better than any Oline they face all year. Say what you want about O but this group will be ready.

K’Lavon is a stud and is about to eat. I really like Divinity as a junior in that other backer role.

Oh yeah and Dave Aranda.

I honestly don’t see a weakness.

If we can get pedestrian offensive numbers this team should win 10 games.

Fulton is a great player and will have an immediate impact to this team if eligible but let's not get ahead of ourselves with "best CB duo in the country"

You gotta believe he'll have some rust. He hasn't played a significant down of college football. Given the depth I think there's no doubt he'd play a lot of football this year assuming he's in shape.

Talented cover cornerback that is difficult to throw against ... Good tackler with superb ball skills ... Played in three games as a true freshman in 2016.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2017)
Did not see the field in 2017.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2016)
Played in three games with no starts ... Saw action in wins over Missouri, Southern Miss and Louisville ... Had a tackle against both Missouri and Southern Miss.

Its why I put the word maybe in.

We have the best cornerback in the country.

Name a duo you would rather have.

He’s been practicing and going through off season conditioning with the team, and by all accounts he’s looked fantastic. If we get him he’ll be ready to ball and it’ll huge for our team

Greedy wasn’t rusty last year. People forget that Fulton was above Greedy on the depth chart.

It’s not like he hasn’t been practicing against DJ Chark, Drake Davis and Stephen Sullivan.

I assume he’ll be rusty but it’s not like he forgot how to cover.

I’d be discouraged if he wasn’t with the team and working out.. but he’s been putting work in. I hope he gets cleared

If Fulton becomes eligible, now you have Vincent, Kirklin, Alexander, and Joseph for depth and that looks pretty good to me. You make a complete 180 from a position that appeared to lack depth to all of a sudden a strength of the defense.

Agree, the OP needs to pump the brakes.
Aranda is one of the best in the business and this D will be very good
BUT, we have one great LB and that makes us an injury away from a real problem. Besides White, the rest are unproven.
Same can be said at CB, except insert the name Greedy Williams for Devin White.

No. It’s really not. It’s more likely that he get reinstated. It is extremely rare for the NCAA to reopen a case. They only reopen when they see something was done incorrectly or at least it’s in serious question.

They just reopened his case.

It’s the trickle down effect for me.

Vincent should be a slot corner. In all honesty Joseph probably should be playing safety or at least a rover hybrid role.

This allows guys to play at their more natural positions. It frees up Aranda to be more creative as well.

While I like your optimism I just don't know how good Fulton really is only cause no one has seen him play since high school. He checks all the boxes on what you look for in a cb. But still has to prove it if he is given the opportunity to play this year.

I know he had a lot of hype during his freshman fall camp and was expected to break out in 2017.

I guess I'm trying not to get my hopes up

Saban calling his boy Emmert to shut this shite down ASAP

I know how you feel, b/c my chances of being right are always increased simply by disagreeing with you. It's unfair, really.

Parishes here in LA. I agree though, nobody else in EBR parish is close.
