Watching the Louisville game right now and the crowd is fantastic. FSU is very much a football/baseball school and similar in basketball to LSU, probably a bit of a lesser program historically.

All of you "expert" Tiger fans who proclaim that fan support could never be there for LSU basketball should turn this game on. If FSU can draw a crowd like this then there is no doubt that LSU can too and has in the past.

This shouldn't even have to be debated on here but unfortunately so many arrogant morons who like to speak in absolutes and spout that LSU fans will never turn out for basketball make it a necessity.

Being in the best basketball conference in the land doesn't hurt.

LSU has drawn crowds like this. Also, look who they are playing.

The problem with LSU is not with the fans.

I think you need to take a step back and think about it before you post. I'm not sure if you know this, but Louisville is one of the top 5 BB programs in the country. They won the National Title a few years ago and have one of the biggest named coaches in the country in Pitino. They pretty much sell out every place they go to in the country. If Louisville came to LSU to play, we would sell out as well.

Oh yeah, FSU is 17-2 and ranked #7 in the country. That helps bring people in too..

If LSU was playing Louisville during a year where we were actually good we would have an outstanding crowd also. This thread is dumb.

Who says this? LSU has already proven it can fill the PMAC. It did for many years when it was a good product.

Win and fans will show up.

Did you miss last year? We had a couple really good crowds. If the team is good the fans will come

We could be just like FSU right now. It's frustrating not having a big game on Saturday's that means something.

Yeah I'm well aware of Loisville's stature. I'm also aware that if LSU put a team on the court like FSU has this year and Lousiville came calling the place would be packed. This thread is aimed at those people who claim that LSU fans will not support basketball at all.

Maybe I should have clarified. It's not a large number of fans who do so, but they are out there.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Addressed it to the ones who like to say it could never happen.

If you already know that the fans will turn out then the OP wasn't aimed at you. Try some reading comprehension fricknuts.

I don't know anything about FSU basketball. I do know that our team has given up, our coach sucks and our administration doesn't seem to give a frick. So I'd be more inclined to go watch FSU as well...

I hope so. My daughter and my money both go there so they're my second favorite athletic program now.
