Sure, there will be some improvements. Some big moments. Some great wins.

But rather than making the changes that give us a chance to compete with Bama,
we make the decisions that ensure we won't.

And then the litany of excuses will follow . . .

As long as Ed Orgeron is Head Coach at LSU, we are doing nothing but marking time.

If you need to bring in a bunch of analysts to cover up the fact that your OC can't do his job, then you need a new OC.

I think were Kinda praying too much that just another year in the system will all of a sudden make everything better.

I am tires of “execute better” and “get better players” being the only answers to improving our offense. It’s been this way for years.

9 wins, bruh!

We comin’

104th offense is doing a tremendous job. They’ll be better next year. Just need 8 months off to improve.

Zero points vs Bama, but was a hard fought game. Next year we’re scoring.

Ensminger is a Tiger. Sleeps in the office he works so hard. Give him another couple chances.

Orgeron is a good DL coach and can recruit. You ever seen him stretch? Give him an extension, 9 wins is an accomplishment for him.

It's Nov 30 - the day before championship Saturday and we're possibly hoping for a Fiesta Bowl birth vs Michigan in Coach Orgeron's second year as head coach...

I've said it before and I know I'll say it again - what the frick is wrong with you people?

I feel like we’ve seen this movie before. You know, 9 wins,100th + offense, hoping for a nice bowl.

I feel like we fired someone who was capable of that.

Maybe we’re wrong and you’re right. My bad.

How many more seasons does Orgeron need? Since you pointed out it was his only 2nd season and all.
I will point out, he lost more SEC games this year than last

If you think this season was a throw away season then you need to go find another team to root for like maybe Bama

In addition, we were told all along that Orgeron was inheriting a good team, and that ALL LSU needed (as it still does) is a more varied offense than that which Coach Miles and Coach Cameron ran. That our offensive philosophy/scheme should not be SO stoppable.

And what did we get for our trouble? All those goalposts and those criteria for which Coach Miles was held accountable are, now, not goals for the Orgeron staff. We have to recruit better players, Ensminger is a better O.C., Foster Moreau and Brad Johnson said so. What got Miles fired, are now, positives since Ed Orgeron is our coach.

Any season by any school is a throwaway season if O is head coach.

bama? LSU needs to make the changes that will let them compete with UF and a&m at home.

if LSU had beaten those two teams they are likely right in the thick of the playoff race.

Let me support that. Some of this might look pretty familiar.

Upon arriving at Ole Miss, Orgeron attempted to bring USC's passing game coordinator, Lane Kiffin, with him as the new offensive coordinator, but Kiffin opted to stay with the Trojans.[10]

Entering the 2005 season, Orgeron had hoped to bring a USC-style offense to the Southeastern Conference (SEC), but found limited success. The University of Mississippi's offense finished the season ranked 111th out of 117 Division I-A schools, in total offense; 115th in scoring; and, 116th in rushing. Orgeron's defensive experience, along with returning linebacker Patrick Willis, helped the Rebel defense in 2005, but as a result of the offensive woes, the 2005 team struggled and finished the season with a record of three wins and eight losses—the Rebels' worst record since 1987.

In response to the results of his first season, Orgeron fired offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone,[11] replacing him with former University of Miami offensive coordinator Dan Werner.[12] Also, Orgeron hired Art Kehoe, the longtime offensive line coach at the University of Miami; both assistants had just been fired by the University of Miami. In 2006, Ole' Miss finished the season ranked #108 in scoring offense, #111 in total offense, and #112 in passing offense.[13]

Orgeron's second recruiting class in February 2006 was successful, acquiring the written pledges of a national Top 15 signing class.[14] He followed that with the 32nd ranked recruiting class in February 2007.[15]

At Ole Miss, Orgeron recorded only two wins against teams with winning records (the 2005 and 2007 Memphis teams, which both finished at 7–5)—the fewest among active SEC coaches at the time. Until the 2007 season, he enjoyed the public support of The University of Mississippi's chancellor Robert Khayat and other administrators with oversight of the football program, including Athletic Director Pete Boone. In a November 2006 article in The Clarion-Ledger, Khayat said of Orgeron and the poor win/loss record since he was hired (7–14, at the time of the interview), "I think Coach Orgeron inherited a very difficult situation....I am 100 percent behind him, and I think that people ought to understand that he has a big challenge."

In 2007, Ole Miss finished the season 0–8 against fellow SEC teams, and 3–9 overall. It was the program's first winless (conference) season since 1982.

Regardless of the OC, you not competing with BAMA till you have a line that can stop merely 4 guys from blowing past them and constantly getting to the QB
