Fair enough i guess. I couldnt think of one. Is it the same offense, or is it different?

More or less the same as far as I know.

They were both assistants before Morris left. RB and WR coach

Thanks, seriously hadnt heard of a successful one before. Id still bet its unlikely. I think they can be good, but likely not great

Its not common but it’s not often attempted either.

Clemson replaces Morris with assistant

Les replaces Bo with Malveto (less successfully)

I am Sure a few more examples are out there but I can’t think of them.

Depends on what your definition of great is. Will we see what we did last year, no! But with Pelini coming back we don’t have to be. All we have to be is good enough to score points, which I think we will be. People are underestimating what Pelini will bring back to LSU

Brady didn’t do everything. Here is what Mike Detillier said in an interview with Scott Long right before last season:

Scott: One last question before moving on to defense. Do you see this more as Steve Ensminger’s offense with Joe Brady’s influence, or Brady’s offense with Ensminger’s wrinkles?

Mike: This is Steve’s offense with Brady’s influence. They work as a team to build this offense. Steve wanted a “spread” offense and Joe has helped out immensely.

I think people are overestimating pelini. His defenses while great at the time, were successful against much different styles of offenses than we see today. Now i think we will be good, but i doubt a top 5 overall defense

Why is it so hard for LSU fans to comprehend that JB drove the bus on that championship team.

There might be an answer. But then it would still require recognizing the futility of attempting to communicate rationally with the irrational.

It quickly reaches the point of not being worth the effort.

Depends on the talent we put on the field

It’s pretty easy to figure out what leads to success on defense.

You need elite DL. If you can get good pressure with just 4 you’re in a very good position.

Scott Linehan will sprinkle in a few thing's! I also love our running backs! I also love Gilbert in mismatch situations as well as them putting in Stingley in the redzone in some tight games! Gonna be fun

Meh, I can remember people saying this exact same thing when we hired him the first time. I will lean on what I have seen with my own eyes. His defense will pressure QB’s and create turnovers

It’s the horses, not the coaches. We have the horses.

2008-2018 should prove this isn’t true

IF LSU has a QB like JB they do as well with SE alone.
we DID have JB in 2018 with SE alone, along with almost all the other pieces that were here in 2019.

The offense stunk in 2018 with SE alone, but was exceptional in 2019.

What do you think was the difference?
