I think they'll only drop to #4 in the polls even if everyone else wins. The voters will probably consider them the best 1 loss team.

if we beat them hopefully they'd be considered the second best 1 loss team

They will be relieved that they will not have to play and extra game in the CCG.

Agreed. Bama always seems to get credit for their losses.

Exactly. Then we will certainly need everyone above them to win out and keep them out of it.

I can only hope that the rest of the nation is tired of Bama getting into the playoffs without even winning their own conf.

The voters don’t matter, the playoff committee is what matters. The playoff committee releases rankings based ONLY on what has happened so far and since as of 11/6 when the playoff rankings come out no one has won a conference yet, Beira conference champion is not considered, also as teams play other harder games that gets considered. It doesn’t matter who is in the top #4 in early November those teams can move down even if they don’t lose.

Gonna disagree with you only because the pollsters and media will demand the top 4 include LSU, Clemson, ND and Michigan. I can see Bama at 5 and Georgia 6. Of course if any of the top 4 slips up, then Bama jumps right back into the top 4. Bottom line, we have to win out which includes the SECCG. It all starts on Nov. 3rd. We can do this!

I tend to agree with the premise, but think of this.

Michigan is sitting at #5 right now. Their only loss is to Notre Dame, who is now #3. Let's say Clemson, Notre Dame, and Michigan win out, and we go on to win the SEC.

The two undefeated teams, Clemson and Notre Dame who would both have better wins than any Bama win, would easily be in. Bama would then have to argue that they are better than the SEC champion who beat them. They don't win that argument.

Bama would then have to argue that they are better than Michigan. Michigan would be B1G champion and would have a win over a top-ten tOSU, a better win than any Alabama would have. Michigan also has a loss that is "better than Bama's" since their loss would be to an undefeated Notre Dame. Lastly, Michigan has as much "helmet test" blue-blood credit as Alabama.

Hard to see that Bama would be in with such a scenario. But it relies on Clemson and Notre Dame winning out and Michigan beating tOSU. If tOSU wins the B1G, then Alabama apologists can point to the stinker they threw out against Purdue.

First things first. BEAT BAMA!

If we win we need to take care of business and run the table. That way we're a lock and we shut them out of being in. Their schedule is too weak to back in this time.

It’s fricking Bama. We’ll move up to #1b and they’ll be _#1a
