Chill! It's only the first game! We had lots of players suspended and our best defensive player was on the side line. I'm not saying they won't beat us, but to predict that after one game makes no sense! Their offense struggled, so let's just see what happens in the next few weeks and make a prediction then. It only takes one injury to a key player to disrupt everything. Slow your roll brother!

Our defense is the deepest it has been in years especially in the front seven.

Won't argue violently with you, but....
Alabama had to bring their A game to meet competition. Used their best players and schemes to win. They looked extremely good.
LSU faced much lower competition, and could and did use this as a learning experience. First they disciplined over a dozen players. Next their offense and defense were mostly vanilla. They looked good, but we only really saw talent not coaching. BYU coaches played vanilla because LSU speed would have really killed them if they tried fancy and finesse plays.
When LSU plays Alabama the experience gap will have closed some, and every play in the playbook will be available for selection.
Smart money will still be on Bama, but....

I tend to agree. Don't think we will be shut out again and I think LSU has a real shout at going 11-1.
The difference between bamas front 7 and out o-line is too great to overcome.

That's why I was talking about how the two teams played last night. I expect LSU to get much better as the season goes on.
