Is it possible to jump Arky and get a higher national seed?

very likely.

There is no way to know who would have the higher seed right now. Them "winning" the west doesn't automatically give them a higher seed. We seem to be neck and neck in polls.

So I'd say whoever does better in the tournamnet is likely a higher seed.

The quad 1 wins and top 25 RPI wins are pretty close between LSU and Arkansas, you’d have to think LSU winning the season series would give them the nod to be seeded higher than Arkansas. A win over them tomorrow would solidify it as it would 3 of 4 games.

I'd rather them be matched up with Florida for Omaha as the 2&3 seeds. It benefits us to be the 4 seed matched up with wake Forest.

We could also beat Arky and have a similar resume but have taken 3 of 4. Either way, just have fun and enjoy the tournament, 1-4 seed doesn't really matter.

Pitch Skenes on short rest and it might happen.

Possibly.

LSU has done what it can. If Arky and/or Florida are 2 and que in the tourney it might help LSU jump a seed or two. LSU might be a higher seed than them already. Just sit back and enjoy the tourney knowing the LSU is a very likely top 4 seed and could possibly move to a 2 or 3. No stress this weekend.

I think you may have a better shot at passing arky if they win and you beat them tomorrow and you finish ahead of them in the tourney. Harder to justify seeding a team ahead of LSU when LSU has a better record and took 3 of 4 from them including the most recent game

finished a half game behind them in conference, beats them 3 of 4 times, better overall record, significantly better road record, better neutral site record, and rpi that is almost interchangeable. Your only real justification to have them ahead would be 1/2 lead in conference standings when we missed a whole game against a team we just skull drug. That head to head record would be hard to overcome with everything else similar

Ideally beat them 2 more times. Tomorrow behind Skenes, Saturday with Floyd. Then beat UF on Sunday in a showdown for the 2 overall seed.

Win the tourney regardless, best situation to be in.

If beat Ark and Fla along the way, I think they would give us some serious consideration for a top 2 seed.

It won’t make a difference at all. If the committee had LSU ahead or behind before entering the tournament nothing that happens from here on out will change that.

FWIW, I believe LSU was already ahead of Arkansas before today. Florida is the only SEC team that may be ahead of LSU for seeding purposes

EDT: I think the top 4 is already set.

1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. LSU
4. Clemson

LSU does not lose again. Undefeated in postseason all the way to NC. Every Ranter races to post “I KNEW this team had it in them - just needed the pressure of the postseason to get hot!!”

I think about the only thing you got right in this post was Wake Forest at #1. I’m honestly not sure why you would think Florida is locked in ahead of Arkansas and LSU when they have the worst RPI of the three teams and by far the worst SOS. The three SEC schools are almost interchangeable, so I’m not sure why the committee wouldn’t use the SEC tournament as a means of differentiating them. And where you get Clemson at #4 ahead of Arkansas, I haven’t a clue. I’d love your thought process on all those selections.

The only seeding I am worried about, is not getting matched with Bama for a Super- and they're sitting around 14 or so.

I still think we would beat them in a best-of-three, but they're punching way higher than their weight class right now. I'd rather they get matched up with someone else, and take them out
