Do you know what should have and what should have not happened on any plays that LSU ran this year?

Get into detail. Get into who missed what and what player wasn't where he was supposed to be.....etc etc. etc.

Again, I'm not advocating for ANY coaches. Point is, in reality, you think you know more than you actually do.

When people watching TV know what the play is going to be just by the personnel on the field, that is a BIG problem. They are telegraphing what they are doing and telling the other team to try and stop them. Well, the other teams that were quality, did a good job at it.

If I'm reading your grand "contribution" correctly, you are saying that Les isn't even on par with high school coaches.

Regardless, I would be high school coaches know leaps and bounds the intricacies of the game than anyone on this board knows. There's more to knowing the game than "put that guy in the game!" "Run this play!" "That play works every time!"

many here know plenty as far as X's and O's and terminology and what works against certain defenses etc. The problem is teaching it versus knowing it. But then again, our coaches are not really teaching well either are they?

I love it that people seem to know the ins and outs of football. The only thing people can do here is judge a book by its cover.

I would absolutely love to see half of these people sit in a football meeting and completely dumbfounded as to how much shite they would have to know.

i always call them xbox coaches. though i get some criticism for saying it. but i just think a lot of people think that since they can win on the xbox that they know how to win the real thing. it should be that easy.

If you got that from what I posted, you need to seek help with your reading comprehension.

I don't think it really takes any more than a casual football fan to know that you DON'T run an inside screen to the middle of a muddy field w/ the clock ticking down under 40 seconds, and you're down w/ no timeouts. Let's just say it isn't exactly playing the percentages, ya know?

Like sitting Charles Scott on the sideline at Kentucky in 07 when he was gashing them for yards?

Not exactly a second guess.....

we could have gotten Tuberville

I'm fine with getting rid of Les (or keeping him), but please, Tuberville? Disaster.

I say we get Spurrier. He will hire Gruden and lure Rex Ryan from the Jets and get Jerry Rice to coach receivers and....

People would still complain.

Alleva would then hire co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co head coaches off of the rant

On offense, at the end of a game use a timout (if I have them left) and have a 2 minute or one minute game plan. Use quick outs to the sideline. If I don't get out of bounds, teach Jefferson how to spike the ball.

Make sure my QB understands that the clock runs after a penalty when the previous play ended inbounds.

Don't run slants to the middle of the field with no time outs left or on a Monster Truck field.

Don't run the option on a muddy field or after the 4th game when it is obvious that my QB can't run straight down the line or make the correct read.

When I'm 4th down and 16 inches to the endzone against Vandy, I don't kick a fricking field goal.

I don't abandon the run when it's working.

I use Deangelo Peterson and Dickson until they collapse from exhaustion. Especially when I'm getting pressure up the middle or from the ends.

On Defense:

I make adjustments at halftime when warranted. If I've got my foot on Arkansas' fricking throat in the first half, I don't make adjustments. Sounds simple.

Blitz schemes. The QB can't get comfortable, no matter who we are playing.

Press coverage on the corners. 3rd down and 8 and I've got my corners 10 yds off of the line of scrimmage. All season!!!! Really?

Shepard, Randle, Randle, Shepard, and anyone else that had 5 stars behind their name when they signed. It's like buying a Ferrari and driving it 2.5 miles to Wal Mart everyday.

Should I go on??

Ok, but it's blatantly obvious he and his assistant coaches have issues with teaching our players proper technique/how to be smart players.

You need to be able to adapt your teaching to each player. The great ones know how to do that.

I agree with that.

I'm reading it again and it sure seems like that conclusion could be made.

As for my actual opinion on this, I feel like many of you who truly believe that LSU could replace Les with "many of the people on this board" are very simple minded, borderline retarded. Don't bang on me... that's my opinion, I'm contributing. We are talking about replacing a coach who lost 4 close games, three to Top Ten teams. Some are giving suggestions for new coaches that have recently had 6 loss seasons in lesser conferences. Calling opinions, facts, and disregarding any facts that might inform them into a different opinion or outlook. It's easier that way, I understand, but it is insanity.
