Is Coach O right skipper in this new model?

If yes, why?

If no, why?

LSU recruiting footing in TX at risk

Sure may remove Bama and UF as permanent foes, but 4 and 5 star recruits who want SEC cache have more choices

Formidable development process (vs. renting "Joe Brady's offense") is a must

Path to playoff, expanded as it may be, becomes tougher. National "SEC fatigue" a factor for teams in SEC, who otherwise deserve to be in playoff

This is such a false narrative. You mean like when our pipeline to Texas was shut off when A&M joined?

If you look at our last 3 recruiting classes including this year’s commits as a 4th class, we aren’t really relying on Texas anymore for recruits. We have been hitting MS, AL, GA, and FL a lot more. The SEC should get 3-4 teams into a 12 team playoff every year. There’s no reason we can’t finish top 4 even with OU and Texas.

I remember when Aggie joined how they where gonna raid La.........LOL. This move hurts Aggie more than anyone. Texas, OU, Ohio St, Bama, and LSU already get our share out of Texas.

Reasons I am excited for September 4th:

1) LSU football is back!

2) Maybe we can have something to talk about on here besides if Coach O should be replaced and which QB to start.

Stop entertaining the idea and wasting time posting here. Spend more time emailing LSU and Woodward along with SEC offices and tell them we don't want this shite.

LSU helped build the SEC into what it is and has had to suffer against the better competition all these years. Why in the frick are some of you dead set on letting Texas and Oklahoma stroll in now ?

Tx would open up to LSU even more as the top kids wouldn’t even entertain the Big 12 with Tx and A&M in the SEC
TCU and Tx Tech are the ones that should be worried

You are absolutely right!! we have only signed 7 recruits from Texas in that time span! 2 have left and 2 or incoming freshman!

We’re not that strong in Texas already.

If you want to criticize o that’s fine but if you go after his recruiting ability then you’re a moron.

This is such a bullshite espn taking point.

Look at the rankings every fricking year. SEC gets more respect than any other conference.

There's a reason UT doesn't get all the top recruits in Texas. It's just not that well-liked. That won't change.

Riley won't be there at OU when it arrives in the SEC. McCarthy is going to be a bust at the Cowboys, OU may be in a position to win a Natty this year, and then Jerry will open up his pocketbook and pay whatever it takes to hire Riley.

Riley is a great recruiter. Like LSU, OU will get some great recruits simply because it's OU. But Riley is very, very good at landing blue chip offensive players. Especially at QB. If he actually stayed, which I don't believe he will, OU would be a greater threat to recruiting than UT, simply because UT's arrogance is well known and felt in Texas, and not all recruits want to be associated with them.
