I believe part of the problem is Julio touched the ball while standing out of bound, which killed the play immediately

C'MON Man, Everybody knows you have to have 3 feet in at Alabama.

Which means Jordan Jefferson would be 3-1 against Bama all time. That’s crazy.

I mean we were down by eight at the time so maybe, but it was definitely an INT.

someone who can type without shaking explain it to this youngster

It looked like a Patrick Peterson interception on the sideline, but while all the LSU fans were focused on Peterson's feet (which were in bounds), the call was made that he didn't have possession at the moment he was in.

Watch the ball, not the feet.

Jones never touched the ball at any point in that play . Nice try though.

Was in ttown watching thelat game at rounders...even a few bama fans around me called bullshite. One even shook my hand, apologized and said, "we didnt wanna win that way.. frick sorry". To this day that call has only been surpassed by the rams PI

Yeah what a pisser. I still remember nearly breaking a table top at a sports bar in OH when they ruled incomplete.

Forget the divot; that wouldn't have even won us the SEC West.

LINK

This is the play I'll never get pver. Cost us the greatest season in CFB history.

Yeah the Rams PI was even more obvious and egregious

The sham in Auburn in 2006 bothers me to an exponential degree more than the 2009 Bama blown call. I don't see our offense coming back to win that game even if the refs got the call right. Auburn in 2006 on the other hand - that game was straight up snatched out of our hands with at least three (to my memory) BLATANT missed/no calls that would drastically alter the course and score of the game. The obvious no-call pass interference on Lafell in the end zone, the non-fumble fumble by Hester and of course the clear PI that was picked up in the waning moments of the game. I'm sure there were others that i've blocked out of my head.

Whats even crazier is Bama fans still try and claim it wasn’t a bad call by literally making up some rule about a receiver touching the ball while being out of bounds and making it incomplete

Carried a kid on a recruiting visit a few weeks ago. Ask an assistant coach if he felt the SEC officials helped Bama and his reply HELL YES!!! This was at another SEC West university.

That was never part of the call on the field, nor was it declared as part of upholding the call on the field by replay.

He had the ball, and his feet were in. The only people who don't agree are the SEC admins, game officials that night, and Bama team/fans.
