You got this from a no touch scrimmage? His biggest play would have been a sack or a stripped ball in any real game

Yep, what I saw from him is his ability to escape the pocket even in a no-contact scrimmage for QB's. Now as I stated I still don't feel "confident" about his QB play or any of our other QB's, but yes I can confidently say I think he can escape pocket pressure nicely.

McMillan is NOT an SEC caliber QB.

He doesn't have the consistent passing acumen that you need for a Championship. He'd be overwhelmed and rendered useless against upper echelon SEC Defenses.

How so many of you fail to comprehend this is shocking. (Not surprising, but still hard to believe nevertheless)

This is sad.

Darn.

The JJ comparison ruins my day

I had hope.

I will go back to Celtics vs LeBron in game 1. 30 pts at half. I mourned Hayward.

Yes. I felt good about McMillan and I feel good about Myles Brennan. What you have to do is not listen to the majority of posters on this board because most of them have minimal knowledge of football but they criticize about "coaching" but are never specific because they dont know enough to be specific. Bitching is their hobby no football. Lol.

I wouldn’t feel confident if a prime dan Marino was the qb

I hope we get Burrow, but I think MCMillian will be fine, with Brennan as the back up, and Narcisse in special situations.

Frankly I could not distinguish between his difficulties and the O line's failure to block for him, as compared to the blocking other QB's got

At times he looked pretty good and composed. But then he also threw behind receivers. After reviewing the spring game a couple more times overall he played better than I thought he would. Actually for a spring game the overall play of the qbs was not nearly as bad as some want to make it out to be. Especially considering our lack of pass protection which had a lot to do with our DL and two starting OL out.

However, the QBs need more consistency. Brennan needs to know how to feel the pressure and handle it the pocket better, LN needs to improve accuracy JM is just limited in passing ability but showed signs of overachieving. None of them have the complete package yet. Obviously, one of several reason they are looking to add Burrow if possible.

If we were all confident about McMillan would this board have erupted the way it has in the past three days over some transfer?

He's got the best footwork and the quickest release of the three. IMO He'll be our starter unless we get in a shootout and then Brennan will take over.

McMillan looked good?

I look for NFL talent in terms of arm ...

McMillan has obviously improved, he looked more comfortable, but I don't see the zip I like to see in a talented QB...the SEC is no joke...You have to be able to zip is sometimes....I don't see that in Mc, but I do in Brennan. Brennan just needs to add weight which he seems to be struggling with... wish that was my problem. :)

but Brennan was the #2 last year....and looked pretty good I thought in mop up duty.

So how is it that McMillan is now #1 over Brennan?
