We had 2 in the 3 years before he was hired

So yes they’re great but it’s a level of greatness has is expected to maintain

We won’t be top 3 unless we get some surprises tomorrow. We might hold on to #4 if Sophser, Lee, Hampton, and Fonua all sign.

I hope you're right, but if you're not you just left people a good reason to come back and be negative. These threads only bring out more negativity.

For a head coach who actually does no coaching, he damn better be getting top recruiting classes. This is not cause for congratulations, it’s the bare minimum requirement for him to stay head coach.

In my mind, I'm already there.

Not buying the predictions. Kids could change their minds sitting at the table. I’ll believe it when I see the hat on the head.

This thread is just wrong. It gives people something to get upset about if they don't sign all of those kids and I seriously doubt that they do.

The class will still be top 5.

I would say that if they sign

Lee

Fonua

Hampton

Randolph

That would be 23 and be a good class. Two spots open for a transfer or juco just in case.

Take Ish if he'll sign up.

For a head coach who actually does no coaching,
in the A&M game I saw a coach who was involved and even sprinted down the sideline in a sticky drenched shirt on a cool night to call a timeout. All I remember from Les is jawing over the headphones about play calls, calling for a spike, and subbing in the wrong QB.

Les Miles was the offensive "mastermind" yet he chose poor QB's for years and Orgeron is at least as good as him on that side of the ball.

And Burrow is a pretty good QB so O is doing something right. Brennan and Parrish both look competent. I think that O is changing the culture at QB here at The Louisiana State University.

Of course they're expected, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't also be celebrated.

This thread is dumb though.

This is why LSU isn't anywhere close to winning any sort of title. The fans are dumbasses and allow mediocrity to continue.

LSU always draws talent. Miles recruited well also, and yet he was fired for the bull shite 9 win seasons and inability to have even a competent offense.

Yet here you are, crowning someone who is an average coach as if he is the next coming of Saban.

Make sure to bump this at the end of next year when we go 9-3 / 8-4 and get arse fricked by Bama again.

They still are. Where the hell have you been? We've been outside the top 10 twice in the last decade.
