Arizona is basically in the top ten now with his recruits and we are sliding. Let’s give him a few years to see if he can get things together, but, this is the sec not pac-12

frick no. It was your parents' and little league coaches' job to teach you about perseverance and dealing with adversity...

Were averaging 6 runs a game in SEC play.

Numbers don’t lie.

This isn’t MLB. That’s in the bottom half of the SEC. We’re in the bottom half of most offensive categories in league play and played one of the worst teams in the conference last weekend

6 runs in college baseball is not good, nor is hitting .250 like we are

You don’t have to see a bad outing to know he’s not an SEC starter, we’ve known that before the bad outing. If I told you I had a guy who can only throw fastballs and he can’t throw them for strikes consistently, would you say he needs to be starting SEC games? Of course not

You don’t believe Ty Floyd actually only has one pitch do you?

Throwing different types of fastballs, none of which have a ton a movement, isn’t fooling anyone

I believe a fastball is all he can somewhat effectively throw. Do you believe that to be false?

It’s not the only pitch he can effectively throw. We’ve seen a few really nice breaking balls out of him (I think it’s a slider but I’m not sure if his exact repertoire) but I think that the fastball is the only thing he has supreme confidence in right now, and I think that can be worked on

Who cares whether you do or not? How about just be an LSU supporter a little while and give up the b#tching?

he literally threw 38 fastballs and no breaking balls last night

that was the scouting report on him a year ago and all offseason. Probably time to call a spade a spade at this point

We've seen him try, but I wouldn't say they were "really nice"

Cause he is the HC and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

This is what happens when you do not have pitching

I mean yes I just said he didn’t have any confidence in it. It’s not like he was in any low pressure situations

This may be true, but is it wrong to say he looked quite good until the game against the #1 team in the country?

You’re being disingenuous. There have been a few really good breaking balls

I don’t disagree with any of this, but he’s throwing the pitches that are called. He’s not shaking to the fastball.

Just because he throws a good breaking ball once every 45 pitches does not mean it is an effective pitch. There’s no way you actually think that right? He doesn’t have confidence in his breaking ball because he can’t throw it effectively.

Last night over 50% of his fastballs were balls. That’s almost hard to do

Crews, Morgan, Doughty, and Dugas are all incredibly talented. And it doesn’t matter where they came from. He has them now. That’s the point. He has an incredibly talented lineup right now.

SO until he stopped playing bad baseball teams, he looked better than he is? Sure

No, I'm really not. His breaking ball is not good, which is why he doesn't use it. Honestly, his fastball isn't a consistent pitch either. How he was ever named a weekend starter is pretty amazing.
