Just who do you suggest to call the games, besides Big Ben, that has the enthusiasm and love for LSU/LSU Baseball like Lyn does?. He’s dedicated so many years and time to the program but people like you and CrappySweater can’t see that. His schtick is his schtick and it brings brevity to the broadcast.
Go listen to any other teams regional broadcasters on ESPN anpp any given night and it’ll make you appreciate Lyn and even Ronnie. They’re knowledgeable and engaged and they give you info on both teams without slobbing their university’s knob.

I don’t know this for sure because I don’t personally know him,
But after watching as much as I can it appears he only does other school sports if LSU is off and/or on network TV. He only does the streaming games.
Also, in the early season before SEC play he will commentate an LSU softball game if it is on the same day as an LSU baseball game.

LSU should have fully employed Lyn. He’s a national treasure. Instead they put him on women’s games and he’s a free agent to call whoever contracts him for a game.
His daughter moved to Auburn. He was already driving in from Central La to Baton Rouge, so he only increased his drive by a few hours. I’m sure he talked to AU about working some of their games before he officially moved.
