He was awful. We lost about 20 yards on stupid decisions not to just fair catch and take it at the 25, in assition to dropping the punt. You should always just take kicks at the 25, do not ever return it.

I’m fine with returning it. Try to make a play. WRs can’t catch so you might as well try to house a kick off

Y’all thought Saban was going to let a difference maker just walk right out of the door?

Maybe there’s a reason he left Bama. He looked stuck in the mud.

He looked very nervous to me. And not smart.

Dude had a year long try out at Alabama and Saban let him walk and nobody in Tuscaloosa cared.

Yeah so what if you’re so bad that you can’t manage to make the 25 ever. But also, you suck so bad that you muffed a punt.

Just stop ever putting people back there on punts

You’re talking kickoffs, not punts.

Whether you start from the 25 or the 15, it’s still 1st and 10. Not even remotely close to the reason we lost.

Starting from the 25 or the 17 has little impact on the outcome of the drive

I really hope special teams aren’t a huge disadvantage once again this year. He looked pretty bad on both his punt return attempts. The 1st one he misjudged and had to make a diving catch and of course the muff. The kick off returns he didn’t show much explosion. We still have no answers at returner besides Clayton simply fair catching punts.

The special teams were awful whether or not Anderson played the position well. Have them pinned at the 2 yard line, punting from their end zone. You didn’t send a rush, choose to block for the return and had all red shirts running free surrounding the return man at the 50.

yeah, kid just looks bad and is not elusive at all, they should try someone else back there. He makes bad decisions like you said when fielding the ball, a couple of his catches were terrible and he almost dropped them, finally dropping 1. SMH
