BK has fixed the offense and possibly regressed the defense but that part is also fixable. He’ll handle house and do what’s needed. Even with the challenges, LSU has shown flashes of what an elite team could look like. Downvote away

I won’t downvote you. But we could only go up from 2020-2021…

Now we are going down from last year.

If he can’t recruit and land kids in portal then he won’t be going in a better direction.

I believe in Nuss but I think we are going to see just how much Jayden meant to this offense next season.

Wow, a rational post. There’s work to be done but he’s a proven program builder. Also, defense is in our DNA. Very hard to fathom that won’t get addressed next year

We will see the progression in Nuss by fall camp to really see how next year will go. The home schedule will help.

I still think BK wins a national championship at LSU. Maybe 2.

The truth is we’ve lost 3 games on the road to top 10 teams. We need to win these next 3 though. No excuses to not finish 9-3

The recruiting losses in state are concerning.

He has a good record in hiring DC’s. Obviously this is not one of those instances (House), but I think he’ll get it fixed.

You judge direction by recruiting momentum. I don’t think the prognosis is great.

Defensive staff needs to be gutted, and hopefully the recruiting issue is really just a problem with House + not something deeper like a budget issue.

If it were me I wouldn’t even wait for the end of the season — All your preseason goals are off the table after this weekend.

LSU has 8 of the top 10 ranked players in the state.

Furthermore they have secured commitments from 16 of the 19 players offered in state, with a high possibility to flip one and make it 17/19.

How many are CBs or DLs? Because if we don’t have top tier coming to fill those positions, I couldn’t care less.

That is like when Ed would fill the offensive roster with the highest rated overall prospects & we’d wind up with skill players galore but no one to block for them.

The difference is we are at least trying to fill those needs with Kelly — just seems we are often forced to settle at the positions we most desperately need to fill.

I am proud of the team and their efforts. They continue to make progress from being under previous leadership.

Coaches need to step up and figure out landscape for pulling in top defensive freshman and transfers the next two years.

We went from nationally ranked #5 SEC West champs to probably being unranked at the end of the season. You think we’re “headed in the right direction”? What planet are you people from?
