I’ll believe simple logic over someone that cannot even provide proof for what he is saying.

I'll take what Saban did, for obvious cause like everything he does, as all the proof needed.

Simple logic Lol!! So you would expect us to believe that all your responses are based on logic? I gotta give it to ya that is funny, it really is. Logicly process this, to logically think that everyone is stupid, is illogical.

Here's the deal: Compliance can function in two ways:
1. They provide no information up front. Then they judge harshly for every mistake and report that immediately to the NCAA without even talking to LSU staff members.
2. Be a part of the process from the beginning. Provide guidance during process development to ensure processes are created within the NCAA guidelines. Monitor and provide LSU staff with information when something looks questionable and work with LSU staff to a resolution before things become an NCAA issue.
In one of those situations, Compliance is actively helping the institution and working towards the same goal. In the other, Compliance is actively working against the institution.
Form your own opinion as to where LSUs Compliance department lands.

I just don’t think compliance cuts practice time just to be a dick. Prove me wrong, all I’m saying

23 upvpotes again for post a by LSU Athletic Dept. employee. Pretty consistent. You would think an Organization as big as that could afford more key board warriors.

Exactly.
The compliance department is supposed to be in an advisory role for the coaches and report to the AD when necessary. They're never, ever supposed to report directly to the NCAA, any of their findings, in any capacity. Their boss is the AD. That's who they report findings to.
They're supposed to be there to be a resource for the coaches so the coaches can seek advice about how to stay in compliance in the same way that large corporations keep attorneys on retainer to consult with.
This doesn't seem to be how the compliance department functions at all. They seem to have a gross misunderstanding of their role and job description.

So LSU should have allowed him to play, only to risk having to give up those wins either during the season?

Do you think Saban has to worry about his compliance dept.?

Compliance has an obligation to monitor and report violations to the NCAA and SEC. There are reports and forms that have to be submitted to the NCAA through their reporting protocol.
It's highly systematic

They're supposed to do both. Be proactive and prevent violations, but also monitor activity and document violations
Not reporting violations is an institutional violation within itself.
