I think Little Rock’s scrappiness will help us against WVU

Also, I like that WVU really only has 2 lefties that pitch albeit one is very good.

I mean no way in hell these guys take WVU lightly after seeing what LR was capable of

if bear gets locked in and Anderson and AE are on, i can see it going sideways for WVU very quickly

West Virginia is a damn good team, also, teams don’t take anyone “lightly” in June

With all due respect to LR, they only scored the 4 times we loaded the bases on free passes and kicked the ball around.

Yea LR definitely played their asses off but 13 of the 16 runs they scored against LSU over 3 games (27 innings) came in 3 separate innings where LSU pitchers just shite themselves.
Don’t walk them and you might give up 5-6 runs over 3 games.
LR holding LSU to 4 runs Sunday night was the only really impressive thing they did. Even then LSU had 11 hits but puked on themselves with bases loaded.

I hope you don’t mind that I’ll take Skip Bertman’s opinion on how LR played over yours.

Taking anybody lightly in college baseball is a really dumb approach

Bertman remembers Stony Brook. Now JJ has his LR to learn from and pass along to his boys.

Skip Bertman is in a position in which it pays to be diplomatic. His public pronouncements are probably quite different from his private thoughts on the matter.

We should be set up better for a weekend series than a 4 team regional. Our first two guys are the best there is. Sadly, after that, it can be feast or famine.
I think we beat em in 2. If it goes to game 3, chances are LSU still goes to Omaha, but not nearly as strong as in games 1 and 2.

Agree, but this has been a problem at times throughout the season. You just hope it doesn't pop up against a better team.

Agree and our conference record illustrates that. 15-5 when Anderson/Eyanson start. 4-6 when they don't. If it goes to Sunday, it's a toss-up, at best.
Edit: typed Sunday, meant Game 3.
