Exactly right, after you did everything you could to keep us out of it. Divine intervention got us in, NOT YOU

Misleading and untrue. His welfare does depend on the confidence of the fan base and he damned well knows it. And the fan base wasn't ready to fire him after the 2005 Tennessee game. It was one game. Two seasons, however, is a different story.
He's dead man walking.

Every coach winds up doing this because they get sick of dealing with you back stabbing NEGATIGERS !!
Some Tide fans have stated they thought of Nick Saban as a top-tier coach when he stepped off the plane in Tuscaloosa and signed the dotted-line. In other words, the decision to be Alabama's head coach was enough for them because they are Alabama. Now that's spirit. Oh, and they note how he was heavily criticized when he was here, even during the National Championship year.
What a novelty to support your coach and support your team. Saban mentioned how the goal is to get every player on the same page, believing the same thing. That's not about the fans, but the fans gave him the space to do his job instead of complaining about what they did not like. (Example: Ripping individual players, and supporting one non-starting player over the other instead of exhibiting patience and supporting the team) The players know what's being said and they know they do not have your unyielding support. That's just sad.

I thought his contract didn't get rolled over last year?

So we have a coach that sucks at coaching and doesnt give a frick what anyone thinks.
Apparently this is what we have. After Miles is fired at LSU, he would do well in the Obama administration.

This one bothers me. He seems to be unaware that the loss to Arkanasas should have cost us the NC, and that only because the stars perfectly aligned were we able to overcome that loss. Does he even realize what a horrible, inexcusable loss that was? He doesn't seem willing to accept reponsibility for that failure - that's very unsettling

This assumes that just because you are in the hunt for the NC your games should be automatic wins. The games at the end of the season are no different than at the beginning. There are upsets all the way through. Using that logic, every team has backed into the NC because it took other teams losing for them to win it all. Also, it was all the wins prior to Arky that put us in position to reclaim our place in the NC game.

I love this. This is rich. Miles have got 'em all riled up.
I personally don't think he'll make it here long term, but that don't mean I can't enjoy the obvious hurt feelings of people who think Les was dissing them. (don't worry, you'll likely get your chance to gloat in a year or two).
The funny thing about that article is that it was almost devoid of Miles-speak. Heck, maybe you guys have riled him up and woken him out of his slumber. Just think you may have motivated him just enough to improve his record to the point where he's kept around for several more years.
