I agree Kelly sucks but its an apples to oranges comparison. LSU baseball has by far most NIL for baseball (Marruci Bat Contract) Todd Graves and so on. Maybe others in SEC spent more on their roster??

Imagine being so stupid that you think “cultural fit” in this context means sharing the demographics of the fanbase as opposed to understanding and building on the identity of the program and its style of play and recruitment.

That all sounds very meaningless. What exactly is the style of play and recruitment? Bc that all changes over time based on coach and personnel. Nobody cares how lsu plays as long as we win. 2019 LSU looked vastly different from 2003 LSU.

Define what that means in the context of the LSU football program.

Very emotional men digging up all sorts of silly reasons to hate BK. The only reason to be mad at BK is the on-field results. All the other shite is like listening to women bitch about ex husbands.

No one is "mad" at BK. He's a football coach that no one here knows personally. Sounds like you're the emotional one.

He's a middling coach in the SEC and he's a pompous dickhead with no self-awareness.

Saban was an extremely good cultural fit. The problem is that most people, including you, are too dumb to differentiate between our coach being a good football cultural fit and being able to slide seamlessly into the average neighborhood in Lafitte Parish. He’s not from Louisiana but he was a cool young coach who had fire and hired great assistants and epitomized a brand of football that the Louisiana and Texas kids excelled at. That’s a far cry from some lazy dorky wine connoisseur that hangs out at Baton Rouge Country Club all weekend with Woodward and thinks full contact practices are a bad thing. BK is a terrible cultural fit in the context of being a football coach and that’s a fact

I wish I could upvote this into infinity. Nothing left unsaid here.

Ummm, Lafitte is not a Parish. It’s a town. Huge difference.

Either you’re not from Louisiana or you’re an idiot…or both. Take a break from posting and learn about my state.

Blame the NCAA and lawyers for this one…you can only have 2 full contact practices per week in today’s NCAA.

There could never have been a better cultural fit than Ed O.

That worked gloriously until Les Miles’ players were all gone, he had won the big one in 2019, and we learned that no coordinator worth having would work for him after 2019 (which pretty much killed his whole model of hiring the best coordinators and getting out of the way).

In other words, the perfect fit worked gloriously until it didn’t.

Cultural fit" is not the problem. The fact that OP brings this up is simply a straw man argument to bolster his flawed point of view.

Tell me you’re stupid and have no reading comprehension without telling me.

You don’t even realize you agree with me. So instead, you think you’re in disagreement with me and you’re arguing against me for no reason.

Your post is in line with my OP.

Spoiler alert: they won’t be able to tell you because it’s all BS.

All that really matters is winning. The cultural fit thing is feminine BS.

All one has to do is take one good look at Jay Johnson. The man eats, breathes, and drinks Baseball. However, with all that said, what really enamored the fanbase to Jay, outside of his burning desire to bring championship baseball back to LSU, was that he embraced our past. He embraced who we are. He learned everything about what built LSU Baseball, and most importantly, all the people, who contributed to building it along the way.

Nobody would give a rat’s arse about any of that if Jay wasn’t producing championship-caliber baseball.

Saban was a "soldier" and definetly could fit in

Kelly is an "egghead" and has absolutely no relation to how these kids down here need to be commanded. The south is a different animal. On a positive note, the kind of athlete he got at ND was probably easier to coach. Is what it is.

You lead by one of 2 ways, by example or by fear.

Burger King, although is a good example as a person, his players may not follow him. When the example doesnt work, you lead by fear. Ain't nobody scared of a leprechaun.

Nick Saban is a Monster. He leads by example. When Saban gets in your arse mfers are straight just trying to survive the attack. Burger King doesn't have his teams "balls locked in a box under his bed" like Saban did. End of story.

Saban runs circles around BK. If Saban was at ND he might of had 5 undefeated seasons.

You are the moron that's going to "scream" like a baby girl if you hear another complaint about something insignificant.

You have to be 12.
