One of the reasons these types of throws work (and back shoulder throws) is because the wide receivers work on waiting to the last second to put their heads up and track the ball with their eyes. QBs manipulate DBs with their eyes and so do WRs.

Go back and look at the film. It would have been three seconds on the clock if the ball hadn’t been caught.

been a long time but I think there was 1 second left and they put two more back on the clock after the play, identical way we lost to aubie the year before he was canned

I recall when Byrd was recruited out of juco and lots of folks thought there was no way he'd make the grades to transfer.

That summer, when he finally passed enough courses, he posted on Twitter something like:

"Blessed to be heading to LSU. And to those who doubted I could do it: f*ck y'all with an AIDS dick."

not really

It was just poorly executed enough to make it seem that way. It's was a great throw.

I was in the lower part of the student section. Happened right if front of me. I’ve never heard anything as loud as that stadium was at that moment. It vibrated my brain.

That was another in a long line of clock snafus that just happened to work out well.

That wasn’t even the loudest moment of that season. We must have been sitting near each other.

I was right there when the catch happened. Next thing I know, I'm covered in coke!

Back in those days, games had a special feel. The whole crowd was alive with energy. From the oldest fan shouting to the youngest one clapping, everyone was in the moment. Now, things have changed. Sure, the Alabama game gets loud, but nothing beats those old memories.

I was in the student section as a student. One of my top lsu football memories. Really indescribable even after all these years.

I have never been convinced that Les was fully aware of situation.

Hard to believe that was 16 years ago. 16 years before 2007 was 1991.
