I see we are still blaming the loss on the guy who threw for almost tree-fiddy

Brennan needs some calm, but I think a lot of the worry is on that D!

Don’t understand why we have to blame the offense or the defense.

It was a total team loss

Defense was as bad as I’ve seen in a good while. LBrs could not cover the rb at all. No adjustments by LSU made Leach’s job easy.

or the DL that gave Sunshine 20 minutes a throw.

Or the OL that got straight raped by MSU

I'm blaming first half three and outs, slow Qb reads, and drops. Play calling was bad and the Qb didn't execute it. You can't leave the defense out there that long.

Next I blame the secondary for not covering and allowing those throws.

Lastly, I say good game to the Miss St Qb. He wasn't scared to make the throws and he threw some perfect passes.

First start he throws for 345 yds and 3 tds after a terrible 1st quarter. And the sky is falling, he doesn’t have “it”, blah blah. Bunch of no football knowing pussies on here. Defense got absolutely shredded.

It’s not like Brennan played great, but we still managed to be in the game while the defense gave up a record performance.

Just not seeing how the main takeaway is Brennan being a horrible QB

100%

Every part of or defense looked like Pop Warner out there.

But no nothings blame the guy who threw for 350 and 3 TDs.

Not the group who allowed 600+ and an SEC record

Buncha garbage yards at the end of both halves. If you only saw the box score, it doesn’t come close to telling the actual story. If you did watch it and thought he played anything other than hot garbage, well, agree to very much disagree, I guess.

Could he have done better? Sure.
Is it ridiculous as a fan to expect a QB in his first start to have to win a game? Absolutley.

He was one brush off the elbow from completing a pass to a wide open McMath for a TD. Instead it was picked off and they got points off of it. Turning point in the game.

I have way more confidence that our secondary will improve than Brennan improving. Brennan threw 46 times, amassed 1/2 his yardage on YAC, he scrambled into sacks, and missed wide open WRs.

The defensive backfield was full of freshmen and bench players, front 7 rocked the frick out. The defense kept us in the game in the 2nd half. Costello had no time to throw the ball. Give Costello credit, he was dropping dimes.

If you are someone who needs to boil it down to a single thing that cost us the game, then you are right that it wasn’t Brennan.

But, for more advanced thinkers, Brennan didn’t play well. And the writing is on the wall for this offense if he doesn’t improve significantly.

Offense deserves as much blame as defense.

Without the accidental TD to Gilbert and Cox’s pick 6 we get straight blown out

he wasn't Burrow. He was a first time starter, he did fine

But he wasn't in the top 5 position groups that cost us the game

DL
DB
OL
LB
DBs again
OL again

Then maybe QB

Imagine being content with your offense when the defense gives you 4 turnovers & a defensive TD...

And you still lose by 10pts to Miss St lol
