I see people on this board saying it will take 2 more years to turn our program around

One knucklehead even said “3-4 years. Buckle up”.
Then explain to me why UT is competing in year two? Or how Saban, Kirby, Urban, etc. all were competing in year two?
We have young talent now, are likely bringing in a top 5 recruiting class and can utilize the transfer portal.
So why are people saying we can’t compete next season?

I can see us being an 8 or 9 win team next season, and being in the hunt in two years.

Biggest reasons are Daniels at QB1 and DumbRock at OC again next season.

1. Pruitt recruited very well in his last 2 seasons. He just could not coach. EdO left Kelly with little to nothing and not even 50 players.
2. Heupel lucked up that he was the only HC that saw potential in that transfer QB.
3. Heupel has done a very good job in his second year.
I said here from the beginning that it would take Brian Kelly two full years to straighten out the mess EdO left behind. LSU will contend in 2024 under Brian Kelly.

We are a National Championship caliber school, but you have people trying to reset expectations super low.

Coaches are generally given 3 years latitude. I’m fine with that.
In year three he has his players, his coaches, his system and everyone should be onboard

This was the number of players we had for the bowl game NOT how many he inherited. Go look up how many we have today

Next year defense will be worse- Cause you lose the entire secondary, both DEs, and possibly 2 lbs

This isn’t true and we can utilize the transfer portal again. Also often younger players end up better than those they replaced
