Hell, even if he told him to go, Bianco should've known not to. That entire play was in front of him and everyone knows Plumlee has a big arm.

Bianco is looking directly at the ball and is a veteran player. 101% on Bianco. 1000% dumb decision.

Big arm! Hell, he could have ran in from RF and tagged Bianco out

I also noticed he got no secondary jump and for our “best base runner” that concerns me moving forward.

Anyways I’m over it now.

Of course.

For some players, that would have been the death knell on their season. But not for Bianco.

Uhh, what were YOU watching? He clearly got him, but it took an amazingly athletic play, and a great throw, to barely get him. An ordinary college outfielder does not make that play.

PM will get blamed for not coaching him on how to run the bases, but this young man was raised by a coach. Some players are just dumb and can't be coached. Hell Gio should try laying down a bunt every now and then.

1st base coaches at most high schools and for sure at the college level and above are there to get hitting equipment from the player and give him a quick synopsis of the current situation. All plays with the ball in play when you are at first base are in front of you and you are taught that advancement is your discretion. No one knows you more than yourself.

I get Bianco probably thought the ball was going anywhere but second and I’m fine with trying to get to second with 2 outs but you have to understand the situation. You tag up and take off but you are watching the throw if it goes to second you have time to get back to first if it is thrown anywhere else you continue to second. At minimum he saw it was going to be a close play and at that point you just stop let the run score then get tagged.

This x 1,000

The bonehead play wasn't leaving for 2nd as much as it was not trying to get into a rundown where the run could score.

Crews was benched for less. And Beau Jordan as well.

That is what I was thinking as soon as he was called out.

What is a secondary jump on the tag?

PM does not want Mike Bianco to get mad at him so that is why he is starting. He is a liability at the plate, on the bases and in the field. Dude has been here 4 years and has gotten worse each year he has been here. In the words of Nick Saban "it's time to move on"!!
