Take off those purple & gold glasses.
The tigers have been undisciplined all
year long. Where does the buck stop?
That's where you will find the answer. I'm
not saying we can't win at Fla. but the time
is now.

Sadly this is likely true and was an issue for the last 3 years as well. Krags should be held accountable for not developing the QB at this point. If the QB cannot be taught to throw over the middle successfully, then he should ride the bench.

Hanagriff says that if Miles get the inkling of that feeling he reins the offense in. Dont know for sure but sure looks that way.

Someone posted on here a couple weeks back of a couple former LSU players back and forth tweets watching one of the games and they were calling what plays were being run. Now that's not too shocking, but it does show how predictable Les is. If former players know where the ball is going on a play, then Saban or Muschamp or Spurrier prolly have a good idea as well.

Because if you can run the ball, play defense and not turn the ball over you can win 10 games a year and Miles keeps his job. Hell, we almost one it all last year without a functional passing game. We don't throw over the middle as much because of the risk of turning it over. This is Les Miles football.

Not for long if they continue to play like that.

You couldn't call 10%, unless "Run" and "Pass" is your idea of calling plays.

These passes thrown over the middle have a high probability of being intercepted
Shallow crosses and sluggos aren't too risky vs the right coverage.
I doubt he has full faith in QB reads and he seems hot and cold as you say though.

I don't think you fully realize how in depth college scouting is. Lemme help you

School hire firms that collect the All 22 film, both tight(line play) and wide(entire field shot from press box), and breaks it down. They didn't categorize the film. It gets really in depth, for example:

Plays called when ball is on right hash, on 1st and 10
Plays called when ball is on right hash, on 1st and 10, 11 personnel in game
Plays called when ball is on left hash, 3rd and 2, when 21 personnel is in game and 44 is at H back
Etc, etc.

They break down run/pass percentages, offensive and defensive tendencies, etc.

Then, the lucky GA's and SAC's get to burn the midnight oil diagramming plays and getting prepared for Team time in Monday's practice, where they will practice against a scout team running those plays everyday until the game. I guarantee you any coach we play against can call the play that we, or any other team is about to run with about 80% accuracy for an entire game based upon field position and personnel grouping. That's when the players have to use what they practiced all week to recognize and stop the play. For example, if that DE fits inside the pulling guard like he's supposed to on that counter Shep scored on, it's probably a loss of yards instead of a 70 yard TD run

TIGERLEE, get the hell out of here with all that realistic garble. We are 5-0 and thats all that matters

Don't know about you but I'm all for 'realistic garble'; this team is in fantasy mode right now - thinking how important wins are even after sub-par play. I'm tired of this 'a win is a win' shite. I want to see good execution and spirited play.

I am off the Les bandwagon he has fricked this team by dumbing down the offense to the point that a pop warner team could call the plays. That is why Mett looks the way he does. Florida game will just be the beginning. I think the team has no confidence in the game plan and I started with MNC

People can't seem to understand that. They blame missed blocks and throws on the play calling

1) why les miles insists on running he football between th tackles when the defense has us outnumbered by one or more players ( yes I'm referring stack box)

Becasue it still works 75% of the time. It's our offensive identity to try and wear down opposing DL and if you alwys run to the outside, they will adjust so you have to keep showing them that are willing to conitnue to try and pound the ball. We had alot of ooutside runs last night with Ford and we saw the counter with RShep. I expect more of that.

2) why we have this phobia it seems of throwing the ball acoss the middle of the field... Between numbers/hashes. You know, let a guy catch while he's running full stride..if you've paid attention so far this year I'd be willing to bet anyone here that 80% of the throws we make are curls/out patterns to the sideline.

2008 and alot of pick 6s that cost us games. That's the last time we actually let a QB try to sling it. Since then we went to a power run game and the record has gotten better each year. Hopefully they turn Mett loose at some point and give him the chance to stuff up the middle, b/c it really could work for LSU.

I believe that LSU has become so fixated on the tackle pass blocking that they have created another problem. They have resorted to keeping two backs or a TE in on pass blocking and we are only sending three recievers out and often the safety valve is still tied up blocking. It is no wonder Mett cant find anyone open when you send three out against six DB's. Result: Mett holds the ball too long.
Hell on OBJ's first TD catch he was the only reciever in the secondary. Oh his second there were only three. One was on a short route in front of him and one was all the way on the other sideline.
My point is that until LSU can burn these blitzing defenses with some quick throws and learn to throw on first down successfully we will not have any relief from this type of defensive strategy.

FWIW, McCarron looked like shiite against Ole Miss last night for the same reason but the difference was his receivers made some great catches.
