Last night there were at least 2 passes thrown down the middle of the field on seem routes from the spread. One to Clement for 27 yards and one to Jacobs for 21 yards. There may have been a couple more, I cant remember.

TE's.. ok swell.

How about RS??? maybe objr or Landry?
What about Wright or boone??

Face it, so far we run the same basic 3-4 pass plays.
dump off throw to back out of the backfield
horiztonal thow to a wr on the los
and some deviation of a toss to the sidlines.

Offensive line play. Over the middle routes take time to develop. Right now, mett has no time to throw. You guys don't pay attention.

Like on the td pass to OBjr??? twice?
How long did that play take?

You realize a qb has 3 seconds to thow the ball.. thats what they are coached.
3 seconds.

When I can watch a game and call 50-60% of the plays before the snap, something is amiss. ~ A good high school, or community college coach prolly can do even better. ~ Can you imagine what a bunch of Div. 1 coaches can do??? ~ 4 of the first 5 games "they" knew, but didn't have the horsepower to stop it. ~ One of them damn near pulled it off. Remember? ~ The remainder of the season "they" will know too, and many will have the horse power to pull it off. ~ It's sad!

One of those throws was down the sidelines.

we will beat florida. offense has a lot of potential. as i have said before, shep needs to be on field. we need explosive plays. find a way to PUT the ball in his hands.

mett threw the ball 25 times. can't fault miles for that. mett threw for over 250 yards. yhat is still an improvement over last year. offense will be ok. we will beat florida.

Baffling. Something is rotten in Denmark; and it just can not be the players. The whole nation looks at and evaluates the talent and mere presence of our teams...and vote them at the top. And then...spit and sputter...against teams that are far inferior?

I know this...if a Bama team pulled this crap...Saban would have to be taken of the sideline in a straight jacket.

Frustrating!

"maybe the jj/jl years have scarred miles for life." Mentioning this, Hanagriff on the post game show for the last 2 weeks has said as mucht. That Les became or reflected on the pick 6s during Lee's redshirt freshman year thinking that games could have been won had we went more conservative. Hanagriff says that if Miles get the inkling of that feeling he reins the offense in. Dont know for sure but sure looks that way.

He recruited them and hires the staff to "develop" them.

That's fair to Les isn't it?

Tigerlee, get there'll out of here with all that realistic garble. We are 5-0 and that,s all that matters.
Lets just close the entire message board down so we can't discuss potential problem areas down the road with the LSU football team. Like Alice Cooper said, we don't need no thought control.

why les miles insists on running he football between th tackles when the defense has us outnumbered by one or more players ( yes I'm referring stack box)

Shep's 70+ yard TD was an outside run.

why we have this phobia it seems of throwing the ball acoss the middle of the field... Between numbers/hashes.

Both of O. Beckham's TD's and the long pass to the tight end were in or near the middle of the field.

Your premise is incorrect on both counts.

When Nic Jacobs caught that pass I was like " who is that guy"
He's listed at 6'5" 250 lb. he needs to be used and the pass to Clement was great. Hopefully they will see this in game film and a light bulb will go off

I'm telling you, I'm just about off this LM coaching wagon.
I firmly believe this is a direct reflection of les miles and his offensive coaching philosophy.

It's pretty obvious. Take a look at most of Mett's incompletions early in the game ... either high or wide. These passes thrown over the middle have a high probability of being intercepted. Until Mett can come out of the lockerroom and show he's on-target, you're just not going to see a lot of passes over the middle.

one was down the sideline other was middle of the feild.. also if you would read and pay attention I said 80% of the throws we make are to the sideline.. you gave 2 expamples.. we threw it 25 times.
good call einstein.
