As being able to tell me anything relevant about this year's team.

Does that make me an oddball here?

I think you can look at a few things, like fumbles and penalties...specifically special teams penalties.

Been a while since we've returned a punt without a penalty it seems.

Kind of. You really don't think Saturday's game will tell you anything about this year's team?

No I agree 100%.

The only think I didn't like was the fact that our offensive line couldn't block anyone on pass protection even with the changes on the line.

I think all of those RB fumbles were an anomaly.

As far as playing sloppy and only winning 38-22, that tells us nothing about the talent level or the potential of this team.

It isn't just this game, there are glaring problems with the offense that are in fact caused by personnel and the philosophy of Les. The offensive line in not very good and we do not show any different looks to teams to open things up. They all know how to game plan to stop LSU becuase they have seen it over and over.

The only thing is fumbling and penalties.....it wont be crappy weather saturday....our rbs usually are steady with ball control.

Yeah, I really don't.

I frankly think the whole thing was a completely pointless exercise, which is what I said the first time I saw this game scheduled when it was scheduled.

Ah, I see. You were referring to last Saturday. I thought you were referring to the Florida game. Sorry.

You're not alone. I watched the replay last night and you could actually see the team turn it on after they went down 9-7. Then you could see them turn it off when they got up 31-9. Watching that made me put that game to bed immediately. I think (hope) we see a completely different team Saturday.

PLayed a sloppy, unmotivated game. We were looking ahead. Made some out of character mistakes. and won by 16. It happens. Let Towson puff up their chests and enjoy their moral victory. Well see how we play next week.

On this board yes.

It was rainning all day, the ball was wet, no body wanted to play that game. Score 38-22, I like to use simple....simple logic. I can remember when i was a senior in high school haveing to play a shitty catholic school in a damn hurricane. No one and I mean no one in that locker room before the game was "in it to win it" so to speak. We won by two touchdowns. This was a disgrace apparently to our coach.

I think the same aplies here.

ETA- We went on to play in the Florida State Championship.

What are the glaring problems with the philosophy of Les? Please enlighten us...

And yet we have won 19 out of the last 20 football games we have played, good enough for a 95% winning percentage.

One can certainly say that the team's heads were just not in it (heck, miles even confirmed that), and they sleptwalk through the entire game.

Maybe that explains the fumbles, protection issues, and defensive miscues that we're not used to seeing from this team.
