don't care about 1000 against the trash that was the big 12. Look at where most of his catches came from. NONE of those teams like La Tech could stop ANYONE.

Umm, all the freshmen in LSU's backfield played well BECAUSE of PP's presence on the other side of the field.

did anyone else notice after the game that PP7 carried t-Rex off the field on his shoulders??? thought it was pretty funny and was a great example of how close this team is

This....

The safeties were over the top of Claiborne/Simon/Mathieu and PP had man to man with on safety help all night.

The biggest concern for PP was to not miss a tackle or get beat deep by a double move because he did not have any help. He did his job.

see WHO he did it against with a QB that threw the ball the entire game. his numbers dropped-off against the competition like OU and NE later in the year as well as Baylor and Texas...Not sold on this. PP7 played 10 receivers in teh SEC better than this guy this year.

agree that he didn't look good at all. That game was out of character for him.
All the freshmen in LSU's backfield outplayed him.

Peterson was matched up against their #1 guy most of the night. Fuller caught 6 passes(mostly excellent back-shoulder throws) while being defended by Peterson for about 70 yards. None of them were broken for big gains. Peterson made half-dozen tackles, broke up a pass and returned multiple kick-offs for 30 plus yards. Not outstanding by his standards but wouldn't say he didn't look good at all. The younger guys were outstanding but most of their big plays came against the weaker receivers, while playing a two-deep matchup zone. If you notice, after falling behind by multiple scores, Tannehill steered away from Fuller because he needed big plays and Peterson wasn't going to give him any. To their credit the youngsters met the challenge but Peterson did his job on a receiver who will play on Sundays.

God some of you know nothing about football. And also look for some reason to rip our own players after a big win.

First half was bad but everyone on the defense had a great second half, especially TM.

PP7 has been owned far too often this year for a CB as highly decorated as he was during the award weeks.

One spectacular game with two of the most amazing interceptions one has ever witnessed earned him those awards. The two plays could stay on the replay reels for decades.

His draft stock is sky high due to his size and strength and [yes I'm saying it] his potential seen by NFL defensive geniouses that they can maximize play with that total package. He'll need 3 years til we see the best of his abilities at the next level.

No matter how many passes he gives up, bad plays etc Peterson is bullit-proof. Ive never seen a guy have so many excuses made for him by the fan base. Truth is he played like garbage last night.

I agree with him being bullet proof. Its not just last night, it's been the whole second half of the season.

Everyone tries to say that no one throws at him but that's total bullshite. Each and every team has thrown at him multiple times with success more times than not.

Eta, I have no doubt he will be a high draft pick in the NFL, and I hope he does great

SOME KNOW A HELL of a lot more than YOU! It wasn't a ripping, just an observation about how poorly he played at the end of this year as compared to last year. It seems like you guys just have purple and gold glasses on and are not realist. That guy from TAMU was not as good as 10 other receivers he matched-up with in the conf this season.
He got 80 % of his receivign yards againt trashy secondaries/teams this season. So PP7 have a chance to prove 1:1 with the world why he is the best defensive player in the country and he fell flat. he gave-up as many yards to him as other shitty teams did early in the season with a worse qb starting for TAMU at the time.
That is not riping him. maybe he has $$$$ on his mind. I really don't know, BUT Julio played VERY well against him and so did this guy last night. i can understand Julio - NOT last night. He was fresh and could play all aout. he didn't show-up.

PP didn't have a lot of help, he was expected to make those plays one on one. For whatever reason, he just didn't do it last night.

Just not you. Not a good idea up 18 points to get a Top 10 NFL pick hurt.

Who ruined Ben Wilkerson's career by keeping him in the game late, against frickin' Vandy?
