Anybody else loving how underrated Myles Brennan and the whole LSU team is for this season?

There’s a coach in this article who says he’s decent but it takes time to learn how to play in this league. I guess he isn’t aware that Brennan has been in our program for four years.

Also, the most laughable thing I saw is a coach saying that LSU is solid at receiver but Ja’Marr Chase is the only guy that you have to know where he is on the field at all times. That coach will be in for a very rude awakening when he sees Terrace Marshall this year.

Its like everyone forgot Terrace had that game sealing touchdown in the natty. Dude is going to go off, just hope he stays healthy.

I agree we’re underrated but none of those anonymous “coaches” said anything disrespectful. Hell one of them even said Ensminger was a bigger deal than people are giving him credit last year

You won't hear any of that from Saban or those who know...

How are we being rated unfairly? We Know we have a crap load of great talent..but everybody on the outside just saw 20 of our guys go to the NFL. Don’t tell me if any other team had 14 players drafted and 6 others become UFAs, you would rate them really high.

I find it unbelievable and very ignorant for an SEC coach to not know who Terrace Marshall is and how good he is.

If not for his injuries, Marshal could have been as big in reputation as Chase.
This team is loaded. If the OL is dependable we are a very Strong team.
I can't wait to see the running backs with a year in the weight room and a years experience.
Think about the improvement of Helaire and Curry, in one year.

Marshall might have been a Biletnikoff finalist if he didn’t get hurt

I don't even think it's Brennan that's underrated. I think it's fair to say that LSU has an unknown commodity at QB and that there is potential for a learning curve. What shocks me is that people are underrating our offensive philosophy. After watching the 2019 team outclass every defense we faced schematically, people think that we'll never do that again despite the fact that we have the same frickin coordinator. it's baffling at times

Chase, Jefferson and Marshall all could've been finalist.

Lindy's is trash every year.

I actually think LSU has a more talented starting roster than Alabama in 2020. Of course, the biggest drop off is at QB, but so is it for Alabama too and I think Brennan overall will be better than Jones. I also like LSU's high octane offense better than I do Alabama's.

Anyway, I think overall, LSU's wide receiver room is better than Alabama's. I think LSU's running back room is a wash with Alabama's. I know LSU's tight end room is far better. LSU's offensive line is about equal to Alabama's and as I said, I believe Brennan is better than Mac.

On defense, with all of LSU's best defensive linemen returning and with the addition of some new studs, I believe LSU has a better defensive line. I think with the addition of Jabril Cox that both teams' two linebacker corps are about equal, and then LSU is far better in the defensive backfield relative to Alabama.

Am I wrong?

Outside people seem to forget about Marshall but he’s just as talented as Chase and Jefferson in my opinion. He’s going to show out this year.

When I handicap teams, I look at the level of talent existing that is on the current team and that will likely play. I could care less about what a team lost the previous season because it isn't relevant anymore.

The offensive line will be dependable because three of the four new starters in 2020 were either previous starters or have a lot of starting experience. Meanwhile, the only true virgin on the offensive line is a 6 foot 5 inch 365-pound behemoth redshirt freshman who Ed O says will probably be our best offensive linemen this season.

Me too. If they make the same kind of improvement Curry did from his true freshman season to his redshirt freshman season, they should be spectacular.

However, I'm sort of expecting John Emery to live up to his potential and prove that he is the best running back in the SEC this season. That would be similar to the kind of leap Jamar Chase made from his freshman season to his sophomore season.

LSU O Line better than Alambama----that's a big reach.

I think both team's offensive lines will be about comparable this season like they were last season as well.

LSU has far more experience than most teams that have to replace four offensive linemen. In fact, two of the projected replacements are former starters. Another has a lot of staring experience and is an elite player who legendary head coach John Robinson says will inevitably be a first-round draft pick when he leaves LSU. Meanwhile, the only true virgin of the bunch is a behemoth that Ed O says will be our best offensive lineman on the team.
