I think people are not interpreting the comment about our receivers correctly. I feel he meant more along the lines of we have very good receivers across the field but you would have to be an absolute moron to take your eyes off of Ja'Marr Chase for an instant.

I kind of feel like you really believe this

I do believe it. Why wouldn't I believe it? He had to also adjust on the fly to a new university, a new Cajun culture, a new Cajun cuisine, a new team, a new coaching staff, and all brand new players. In fact, I have heard him say countless times that on the night of the first game against Miami, that he barely new 10 player names on the team. I've also heard him say that he got lost finding his way back to his damn apartment several times. Hence, if you think it's easy to learn a brand new offense and learn it proficiently in just a few weeks time, then you are severely delusional. As Burrow's disappointing start to 2018 was very understandable given the enormity of the situation he was in.

Nonetheless, by the end of the 2018 season when Ensminger finally started the transition to the spread, Joe Burrow's QB numbers in the final three games of the season all of a sudden dramatically improved and put him in the top three of all college QBs in the country and set fourth a preview of the 2019 season to come.

quote:

Steve Ensminger couldn’t even play to Burrow’s strengths in 18. It took Brady to control things to actually play to his strengths lol.

Give me a freaking break, LSU had lost virtually all of its starters after the 2017 season. Which is why everyone was projecting LSU to finish 6 & 6 and for Ed O to have to find a new job after the season.

The entire offense consisted of all brand new starters. As Ensminger didn't even know who the starting QB was going to be, let alone who the running backs were going to be. The same thing goes for all of the other positions on the offense as well.

Yet, Steve Ensminger was still able to put together an offense good enough to beat four top-ten teams and to finish the season ranked number 6, which was utterly amazing, given the 6 & 6 preseason projections.

Indeed, you constantly berate and demonize Ensminger for that season, while, I on the other hand, believe he was the biggest hero of the 2018 season.

quote:

Steve Ensminger couldn’t even play to Burrow’s strengths in 18. It took Brady to control things to actually play to his strengths lol.

Meanwhile, Brady didn't control shite. Steve Ensminger had the full control of every aspect of the offense. As both Ed O and Ensminger figured that Brady would be one and done and they were both right.

As Ensminger controlled every play that went into that new LSU offensive playbook. In fact, that's another thing I heard Joe Burrow say over and over again during the course of the 2019 season.

Ensminger was also the primary play caller. Again, because Ed O and Ensminger were planning for Brady to be gone after the season. They've both been around long enough to understand how it goes.

Now, of course, Joe Brady got all of the media hype and accolades during the course of the season for being the architect of the new LSU high-octane offense. However, that's only because Steve Ensminger avoids the media spotlight like it is the plague. Nonetheless, behind the curtains, Steve Ensminger was the true genius behind all of LSU's success in 2019. Maybe you aren't intelligent enough to realize it, but that's okay because Ed O knows is and people far more intelligent than you also know it.

quote:

They thought so much of Ensminger they were ready to sign Brady as the highest OC in CFB.

Give me a break. Rumors, rumors, rumors, and more idiotic rumors. Where the beef?

quote:

And when they missed on him they hired Linehan as the highest paid non OC in football lol

Man...you got to put down the crack cocaine. As Linehan was hired to be the Passing Game Coordinator and the same thing that Joe Brady was when he left. Man...you have some severe mental issues with delusions. Meanwhile, Joe Brady didn't coach QBs at LSU because he was the passing game coordinator. In fact, Brady didn't have anything to do with Joe Burrow. So dream on fool.

Ok..... AGAIN.... Answer my question on how proven Myles is????? You make it sound like he is gonna take over where Burrow left off........I hate to break this to you but until we see what Myles can do, we just can’t say for sure how good this team will be this year.......

Man...you have a one track mind. Moreover, when I answered that stupid question, I never said that Brennan would take over where Joe Burrow left off. Can't you read or is it you are delusional?

Moreover, what make you so freaking sure that Myles Brennan will suck? Hell, if he plays just as good as he played during scrub time with the scrubs last season, he will be good enough.

Furthermore, if Steve Ensminger and Ed O weren't confident that Myles could run the new offense, they would have taken a QB grad transfer, but the fact that they didn't proves they both have far more confidence in Myles Brennan than you do and on top of it they both know astronomically far more about Myles Brennan than you will ever come close to knowing.

Go bore someone else with your unhinged nonsense. I already had my fill of it thank you very much. Especially since you don't listen or can't read, whatever your problem is?

Teams with MUCH less talent than LSU had in '18 run
quote:

the spread all over the country and even in high school. Burrow hadn't run any other system before. It made no sense to run the offense they were running. As far as the receivers were concerned, Sullivan was a disaster.

Where I differ with some others on Ensminger is I believe he can call plays and also believe he was able to learn the offensive design last year.

Go tell your buddy. I'm not even going to waste my time reading that garbage.

If we just get 60% of Burrow out of Brennan it will be a good season. I think he's capable of doing it in this kind of offense.

He just so happens to be coach O’s buddy.

LSU fans were somewhat content with it because of how bad the offenses had been.

But 2019 makes Ensminger look even worse. You had a guy capable of having the best QB season in NCAA history & you had him as a 57% passer with 16tds the year before. It’s laughable

Your wasting your breath. I'm not wasting my time with your garbage anymore because I already know you are obsessed with nothing but hate for the man.

I’ll make sure I pass along the info, since apparently you’re the expert on Linehan and Brady.

A “passing game coordinator”, right?

Ehhhh no.

Another guy to run the offense to replace joe Brady.

How are we being rated unfairly? We Know we have a crap load of great talent..but everybody on the outside just saw 20 of our guys go to the NFL. Don’t tell me if any other team had 14 players drafted and 6 others become UFAs, you would rate them really high.

LSU homers don't deal with reality.

First of all..most experts I see predict a floor of 9-3 for LSU..not really crazy considering who we’re replacing. As far as Bama goes..they have proven they can lose that kinda talent every year and still compete for championships..it’s called getting the benefit of the doubt. Before this last draft of 14 drafted players..our most was 9 drafted..and we didn’t really light it up the following years.

Thinking about placing a bet on LSU to win it all this season

In the words of Rudy Tomjanovich, "never underestimate the heart of a champion"

THANK GOD Les doesn't coach us anymore
