Seems to me like you just like being an attention loving a-hole. It's real noble of you to call people out AFTER THE FACT!! When the team was down, where were you defending them? Just an honest question.

A great many people were. That's because in sports, as in life, sometime you have to take the long view and be patient. This is a skill that is learned and perfected as one matures.
Conversely, the "Fire CPM" crowd was reactionary and wanted immediate results (even if those immediate results would not have benefited the team in the long run)....and sometimes in life you don't get immediate results.

you do realize that the first moment of negativity they will come out in droves, right?
You do realize that a lot of the same ones that speak highly of the team when they are doing good are also the same ones that criticize CPM , Beau Jordan, etc when they are doing bad ?

Incredibly pleased with what this team has done over the past dozen SEC conference/SEC Tournament games. When we had to have it, this team gutted out and/or dominated when necessary.
But for me personally as a fan of this program, folks that are posting things like this are like sprinters who take the lead in a 100m heat and pull up and start hot-dogging and preening as if it's the Finals and they broke the tape first.
My personal opinion-and I could really GAS what folks think but I'll go ahead and engage you just to put it on the record-is that we don't put winning streaks, SEC Western Division, conference Co-Championships or 29-6 records in Hoover under Maineiri up on the Intimidator.
We don't convene laps around Alex Box for SEC Tournament Championships. Likewise for National Top 8 Seeds.
Simply put...That is what this program's expectation should be. We should EXPECT this team to play incredibly well when it counts. I understand that with young players stepping in or stepping up, or kids battling an injury or just inexperienced at this level then that's a lot to ask. But that's what LSU Baseball as a program was built upon. At least the program as I view it was built upon those types of expectations.
Sub-Regional Championships and Super-Regional victories and even trips to Omaha don't go up on the Intimidator. National Championships do.
Now I'm not naive enough to think that is going to happen every year. Folks that talk about parity in this sport are exactly right. There's not just merit in that talk or discussion point. It's an observable, tangible fact (not alternative ones either LOL). The road is perhaps tougher now than it was in the past.
But lowering your standards or accepting less than what we stand for in my opinion simply won't work. I still think this program is the best in America by a wide margin and we should demand expectations from it that are similar.
That doesn't mean we can't admire and get excited about steamrolling through the stretch run. Everyone-even Negatigers-can admire beating the hosses on Auburn's starting rotation, or State's Friday Night stud on the road, and to light the SEC Pitcher of the Year up while our Stud throws a CGSHO in post-season play in a heads up battle after we took it on the chin in their place losing 2/3 should make everyone that's a fan of this program beat their chest.
Watching the young pup in CF, or the kid behind the plate figure it out and raise his average what...60 points or some crazy sh!t? Watching this team field it like a team full of Gold Glovers? I may be a demanding a-hole of a fan but it's been a beautiful thing to watch. Having said that...this team and the program it represents-along with their season they're still putting together-won't be judged on any of that. That's the past.
Ultimately, this program will be judged by what we do from here. I give credit to Maineri for putting us in the position we should expect to be in. But that's only half the job he's paid better than anyone in America in this sport to do.
The other half is yet to come, and I am excited to see what we do. We're in prime position.
Beautiful

I'm the one who made the worst bunt ever thread. And no I wasn't complaining about the team as a whole, I was complaining about one play of the whole entire game? I'm far from being any sort of negatiger.

We play in the SEC. Our first goal is to win the SEC Championship and we did. Our second goal is to win the SEC Ty. 3rd goal is to win the Regionals. 4th goal is to win the Supers. 5th goal is to win the CWS.
As fans, I think we'd be the most satisfied if we'd focus on the most current goal. Talk about the issues for this team going forward, sure, but focus on today's goal and not next month's goals. JMHO...

This is all well and good, but I don't see anyone resting on their laurels just yet. These flurry of threads calling out "negatigers" (hate that term) I think is more directed to the types that were saying just a month ago that this team was hot garbage and would struggle to make a regional, let alone host and be a national seed.

Last three weeks have been marvelous. They still need more discipline at the plate and not try to take chances on pitches outside of the strike zone. But they are hitting much better than a month ago.
Pitching has been solid for most of the year except for relief a few months ago. Peaking just at the right time. Texas A&M and UK losses seem so long ago.
As far as the Negatiger scourge they will never geaux away. They will raise their beneath-human, foul-mouthed POS heads any time a negative outcome happens. You can smell their unwiped *(*SK) thousand miles away. Like you, I seriously hate those things.

A lot of the people beating their chests about LSU's success are the ones who are negatigers in any other times
Posted on 5/26/17 at 3:25 pm to Chaseff
Agree, It's the typical bandwagon ppl doing it. There's nothing wrong with being critical when it's warranted if you don't think coaches are critical of themselves other coaches and players you're simply blind. The difference between the two factions of fans is when a fan points out things that need to be addressed they're normally doing it because they care about the teams success but when these other fans are gloating or calling out fans it's simply to be petty and obnoxious.

I'd pump the breaks, I've crowned this team numerous times just to be let down by shite play after the sec tourney.

Nothing wrong with criticism, and this team has warranted a lot of it at times.
I think the OP is focusing his ire on the posters who said "CPM will never win in Omaha again" or "most un-clutch team in history" or "no chance we host a regional"
a month or two ago.
One poster started multiple threads after mid-week losses this season for every thought that popped into his head. Go figure, he has been quiet lately.

These threads make no sense to me. There is less negativity when we are playing really well? Isn't that how it's supposed to be?

The fact remains we still have a coach that does some pretty boneheaded stuff in regards to pitching changes, as well as completely throwing out the notion of playing small ball.
I'm cautiously optimistic, but I've seen Maineri leave a guy in too long far too many times and I've seen him refuse to put down a bunt to move a potential run just as many times.
Exactly. CPM hasnt changed AT ALL. The players are simply playing better and so we're winning. The bats are hot...pitching better. The players arent allowing CPM to throw them under the bus.

It damn near impossible to find anything wrong with the hottest team in the country. Im loving it! Shhhhhhhhhh
The funny thing is the so called negatigers most likely love the team more than you. They believed the team was capable of what they are accomplishing now and unlike you they expected this level of play. I hope you are gloating after the CWS because that means this Tiger team met or exceeded the expectations that come with being a senior laden LSU Tiger Baseball Team.
