1. O-Line blocking
2. Receiving/passing game - specifically Kayshon's body language and production
3. 3rd Down Defense

If we don't show measurable and instantly observable improvement in these areas - the Coaching staff deserves a pay cut. The most improvement happens in Game 1 to Game 2. Time to earn your paycheck coaches.

You can’t measure any improvement this week. It’s Southern. Just get out of it with no one injured. You judge improvement when State comes to town.

I want to see the running backs run and I want to see Daniels throw the ball. Southern is several notches below us in talent so Daniels could probably run all day on them but that won't help our offense one lick.

If he can't become a throwing QB against Southern then he needs to sit.

I really hope Emery is the answer starting next week because I didn't see anything out of the other RB's that makes me think LSU can sustain a viable running game in SEC play
Without that, you are not winning many SEC games

Crisper play on special teams in all phases

DT rotation

1. No bad snaps
2. Special teams execution
3. Dominating defense

There’s plenty of other areas I could list but gotta start somewhere

You absolutely can measure improvement. Special teams players lining up correctly, wide receivers not dropping passes, punt returners catching the ball, etc.

Offensive - I would like to see better pre-snap preparedness and awareness...especially when the defense is in a bear front or blitz zero look...that stuff takes time to develop to know what each other is thinking without having to communicate...checks, hot routes etc.

I think the Tiger Defense needs to work on bringing in the confusion factor...yes the athletes in purple and gold are elite but mix in some scheme to make their O-line think and cause chaos.

I would like to see some consistency in Special teams as would we all...I think they focused a lot on that this week...ST is hard to simulate in practice for effect and now with game reps and focus they should clean up there.

Yep it is SU, but -

1. Control the LOS on BOTH sides of the ball.
Better, consistent play from OL & DL combos
2. QB reads and throws downfield.
3. Better LB play IRT angles, coverage, and tackles.

I disagree. I'd like to see perfect execution in all three phases, not just LSU beating Southern because of better athletes.

When did we try to establish any kind of rushing attack with our RBs?

Daniels carried it more than our 3 RBs COMBINED.
