8-4 is reasonable Kelly took over with 39 scholarship players

Looking at the schedule, I think they will be favored in all but 2-3 games. Besides UT and Bama to an extent, every conference team on the schedule should be worse this year than last.

don't include the bowl game. It's too unknown.

Do we go 9-3, with 3 terrible losses, and then win a shitty bowl?

Or do we go 10-2, with two close losses to top teams, and then go to a NY6 bowl and lose another close one?

Those are two entirely different seasons, with the same final record.

I believe 9-3 is a reasonable expectation.

The floor is 7-5.There would need to be extenuating circumstances, such as both Brennan and Daniels going down for multiple games and/or heavy injuries on defense for that to be acceptable.

The key is quality depth and attrition. I just do not feel we have the numbers (yet) to recover from major injuries/portal entries.

8-4 absolute worst case scenario

Turning over HC and nearly all coaching staff, QB, 2 All American CBs, and one of best FG kickers of all time...

Lots of potential for long haul with Coach Kelly's caliber, professional, aligned, and long term vision for success.

All said, 2022 season is 8-4 ish to me with lots of upside for next decade

The Tigers are in a complete cultural and program rebuild. Kelly is a great coach who repeatedly took brainy three and low four star players to playoff appearances, given time we will be there consistently.
Next year, I see six wins as a C+, seven as a B, eight and above as an A. With our talent and this coach, I expect an A.

BK has to clean up a huge mess left by Ed.
That said, we won 6 last year and there is no reason we should not be 2 games better this year.

Anything less than 8-4 will be disappointing. Anything more means BK is ahead of schedule.

I said find me 7 wins.

Six is the minimum. Anything over that is awesome

Just curious. The last 2 seasons were the worst LSU football in 2 decades with an absolute clown show for a coaching staff. Yet they went .500 over the 2 regular seasons.

You honestly don’t think BK will be better than that? Hell just simple competent coaching should net us AT LEAST one more win, probably 2.

I agree, D-Line has the potential to be the best in the SEC, receiving corps should be top 3, we have a stable of backs that can carry the rock well (3 mainly in Kiner, Godwin, and Emery), big time playmakers transferring in with a combination of talent in the defensive backfield, and a DC that coached linebackers at an NFL level. OLine is the largest question, but with some transfers gelling well we could be fine there as well. I think without significant injury we are looking at an 8-4 season min. Thats assuming we lose 4 games out of a schedule with much easier non conference games. I assume our coaching staff is smarter, so I assume we can find two more wins where we couldn't last year.
