I think Ohio State is the best team right now.
12 team playoff and we didn't make it in just aggravated. So many missed opportunities.

No one wants to talk about that though ! ND is got some luck on there side this year wait till next year they won’t be as good or lucky! But if they have stability within coaches they might be decent every good team loses players ! Every good team loses coaches!

In looking back, it seems that under the current rules, BK's 2009 Cincinatti team would have had a first round Bye in the playoffs as the #3 ranked BCS team and a conference winner (Big East).
Also the 2008 Cincinatti team was ranked 12th in the final BCS poll (before the bowl game)
He also would have made the field in 2015 & 2021.
So to recap, BK either made the playoffs under the rules at the time or would have made the playoffs 7 times in the 14 years between 2008 and 2021.
Cincinatti
2008 (would have been in under the current format)
2009 (would have gotten a bye)

2012 (in the BCS title game)
2015 (would have been in under the current format)
2018 (in the 4 team CFP)
2020 (in the 4 team CFP)
2021 (would have been in under the current format)

We have some really stupid people here. Comparing 2020 Bama and GA to 2024 Bama and GA in transfer/NIL era shows how uninformed you are. And if it’s ND playing without Leonard? Please. Yes ND had always had the benefit of not playing in a conference and having easy schedule. But Kelly took a losing program and rebuilt it only a championship program when they only took 4 teams not 12. KDS is real.
