Didn't Brian Kelly basically have the same schedule while at ND?

That is why he got a NC game appearance and made the playoffs twice.
ND absolutely got destroyed in all 3 of those games.

Exactly what impressive win does ND have this year?

Indiana? UGA with a backup QB that’s never started a game? USC?

The eye test looks way better for ND under Freeman than Kelly. I remember how defeated ND looked when they faced SEC powerhouse Bama. Just totally destroyed on both lines. They held their own and more against Georgia. People trying to minimize what ND has done this year are just insecure. ND is legit. Freeman is legit.

They beat two teams that beat LSU.
Let's start there.

So now you’re measuring ND against an inconsistent 8-4 LSU team?

No disrespect, just don’t see evidence of greatness.

Are we supposed to just ignore their loss to Northern Illinois?

Even if they get past Penn State they won’t beat OSU or UT.

Well BK coached at ND only made the playoffs twice and got blew out both times.

Freeman is already 2-0

Doesn’t excuse the blowouts but it was little tougher to make the playoffs when BK was at ND

Dude, read the room. You’re like the defensive alcoholic or dope head walking into a room of loved ones there for his intervention.

Twice in 9 years I see it was.
Got curb stomped when he got there.

I think the “Kelly sucks this program is over!!1” crowd looks way more like alcoholics than the other guys

Surely you don’t think ND with BK as HC would have lost to either IU or UGA either.

Freeman is playing the nice hands he’s been dealt—a home playoff game & a neutral site game against a team without their starting QB.

Just doing what he should, nothing special.

There is an easy way to check, just look at the SOS each year he made it and this year. Notre Dame's SOS has not been as weak as ranters like to say though not consistently as good as an SEC schedule. Here is what I found using this site for my numbers. https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other?date=2025-01-02

2012 ND SOS was 7th by comparison LSU was 11th

2018 ND SOS was 13th by comparison LSU was 4th

2020 ND played in the ACC and their SOS was again 7th by comparison LSU was 17th

2024 ND SOS was 17th by comparison LSU was 7th

Hell IDK he only made it twice in 9 years with the easy schedule as y'all say that ND played.

They play the teams they always play.

ND beat two teams that beat LSU.
But UGA has backup QB.

LSU lost twice to backup QB this year.

Dude. Did you see how bad GAs QB was?

ND didnt win. UGA lost this game

Gunner Stockton
QBR 50.7
10 carries (-)23 yards
FUM 2

Notre Dames QB had 90 yards passing. He didnt really need to try to score. ND scored only 2 TDs. Off a kick return and a fumble

Maybe ND destroyed Georgias offensive line… did you even watch the game?

Should I mention special teams?

So both in the top 20 consistently.
Thanks for that
I was told ND didn't play anyone this year.
Just like every year basically since 2011.
It is pretty close within10 spots.

BK has been to the Semis twice and in the Championship game once. Freeman is now going to be in the Semis. If he wins, then maybe.
